2 year contracts suck ass
Is it true that I might have already reached the limit having well overspent my $40 a month, even though I've only had this one since September?

If you're with Optus, yes. You can reduce your contracts time if you consistently pay above your minimum. I cut a couple of months off my last one.gnat wrote:I reeeeaaaalllly want this phone..

Yes, tempting...lynt wrote: Check Ebay.. the L'Amour collection goes for like AU$340 outright. Tempting.

well, it might say something like that in the optus agreement (I'm not familiar with the optus terms).
I have worked in the telecommunications industry for over 2 years, selling anywhere up to 60 month contracts (business & corporate). I know how these contracts work and it isn't nice. It's a way of making the hardware (phone) look cheaper than it actually is while making the company a shit load more money than if you just bought the phone off them.
I bought my last phone outright for $450 and I saved more than that in the first two months by shopping for the best rate.
like I said before... DONT GO ON CONTRACTS
btw "B" store were one of our biggest customers

you saved $450.00 by going to a operator that was maybe 5c or 10c cheaper per call. That would mean you would have had to make 4500 calls or something. Thats like 75 calls a day for 2 months.

on my $60 plan (telstra) which was contracted I was frequently going up near $360 per month and above. I now have it capped at $79, biggest bill I've had was $130.... I know some contracts actually have a cap included BUT you are still making the phone company a shit load more than they deserve. Just remember it is finance you are buying into NOT a telephone.

I tell you get it! It's so clever.
Favourite feature is when you have pics of people in your name list, and that person rings, their face pops. It's so cool, I've never been in love with a phone like this before, it's sick!

This years gonna be shite tho. You only get 25 tickets to get 50ml samples (Which like last year they won't fill to the top). Waste of time IMO.
