Don't miss an opportuntity to catch two of NZ's best live acts on one stage this friday. Starting at 9pm @ The Prince.

Fat Freddys Drop
Image

Fat Freddy’s Drop are purveyor’s of a freaky nu Pacific soul train, smothered in bottom heavy funk, jazz, deep dub and skanking roots reggae, they are a 7 piece band hailing from Wellington, Aotearoa (New Zealand).

These guys are one of my fav. bands. Check www.fatfreddysdrop.com for full more info.

Tickets are $25.00+ bf. from Gaslight, Polyester, Central Station, Prince Public Bar, phone book 9536 1168 or book online from this site. These are selling FAST...so don't sleep.

See you there! :D

I'd go if I could afford it. :( Fat freddy's drop are well worth checking out by the sounds of it...

Hey cammo - do you realise that image in your sig is like 687 kB in size? I know dialup users should get off their asses and get broadband now it's so cheap but jeez, you don't have to punish them :P

Edit: It is a very sick sig though

i know i'm co-presenting this gig so my opinion isn't exactly objective - but I really can't recommend a band more than Fat Freddy's, and Shapeshifter is the perfect follow-up. I saw FFD play last year and it was amazing, so good I went back the next night and saw them again.

Shit :(

Wasn't sure if I would make it due to christmas party debauchery all afternoon, but to hear there is no chance is a little heartbreaking.

Oh well, no need to pace myself now.

getting excited about this! Today's looking great - send my accepted paper off to the journal (and the co-authors can suck it! it IS DONE!), go to drinks at 5.30 for my mate finishing her job, then pre-drinks for FFD and Shapeshifter, then a huge night of Kiwi tunes with Kiwis, then home to bed.

sat - pack & fly off for Xmas hols! woo!! :P

^^^ Thanks Fi but I was hoping there would be some at the door because I can't be sure what state I will be in (drinking in the sun all day is very dangerous). Damn shame they're only playing one gig in melbourne.

Shall see you tomorrow night at Hansy's or christmas night.
