I have no idea what you're talking about.

And why are you advertising a party in Florida in your signature?

I dont see whats so wrong about this chanell V comp.

I mean if they can discover someone like the next hilltops or tzu's im happy .....But if they find a Joel Turner or Bias B i'll be sad :(

Its like when that Nokia DnB comp was on and i was dissin nokia only to be pointed in the right direction that any company who puts in $$$$ to better our beats is ok... 8)

The odds of finding Hilltop on channel V against them finding the next MC Reason?

I'd put a lot of money on a MC Reason spinoff.

i also felt like throwing bricks at people.

i used to have to wear polo shirts as my primary school uniform ffs.

channel v is lame. i popped past the thing at fed square and thought it was laughable. but hey if it means crews that have been around for years like celcius, hilltop, downsyde etc are finally getting paid for their work then all good. Props to Feva for taking out the battle anyways.

for those dissing bias and reason - the guys were pioneers - just cos you only heard of them when oz hip hop became the new cool thing doesnt mean they havent been around since the 80s. haha stylistically you can probably tell that though.

i dont know them so cant comment. The other certified wise crew members certainly arent rich kids though. i dont even like their new stuff, but considering they have product on wax going back to 1996-7 they have definitely paid their dues.

Yeah i went down last friday to check it out.

3 things I noticed.

1. Channel V hosts are complete tools.
2. Bucky Lasek on a vert ramp is eye gougingly good.
3. MC Battle between a guy and girl will usually end up being sexist.

Took some cool skate pics, thats about all I got from it.

Was meant to go with some friends but didn't make it..

They told me of someone in the battle saying he was gonna 'rip out ya feotus and nail it up like jesus' or something completely wrong and the crowd of kids just dropping their jaws...

Man I wish I was there for that.

i can't see one bad thing that can happen from the comp.

it gives the genre exposure

it gives those passionate about it a stage

it does it in a way that is produced properly and realised

there's a national final that is financially backed

the judges are all respected within australian hip hop

so far they have got the winners right with anecdote and feva looking like battling it out in the final - 2 of australia's best battle MCs.

sure the name is naff but at the same time [v] is doing something the ozhiphop scene has wanted for ages - for media to take proper notice ... more power to them.

agreed on most of that shepard.

True that the more people you get into the scene the more talent you are likely to find, nothing wrong with having a good scene.
