Rollin Deep saturday october 7th
@ bunker lounge, basement 407 swanston st
with dan mangan vs keltec (old school breaks set), Rollin Connection, same'0, quick, lil misbreaks and deviant.
Dan Mangan has been djing around Australia for 7 or so years playing upfront music ranging breaks, tech, electro (what ever that means nowdays), house, proggressive and down tempo. He hosts space between the beats weekdays on kissfm and is keeping kid kenobi's seat warm at triple J, while kid kenobi is touring europe.
Keltec has been djing around melbourne since 1992, playing a diverse range of dance music which has led him to become one of melbournes most respected dj's. Keltec mixed one side of the mix cd "future breaks volume 1" which featured a massive ammount of Australian production. Keltecs production skills have lead to a string of cd and vinyl releases, starting with a 12 release through 3Beat records (UK) under the sobriquet Mortar & Pestle with production cohort Dan Mangan. Having also released on lables Heavy Rotation and Aka ltd it is a pleasure to have Dan Mangan and Keltec showing of there skills behinde the decks and playing and old school breaks set.
Rollin Connection are the duo of Darius Bassiray and Daniel Banko who are leading the pack of new young DJ's with their unique blend of deep sounds.
lil misbreaks
Add one part feisty attitude, two parts skilful mixing, a dash of cheeky sense of humour and liberal helpings of funkified, ass shaking, dirty breakbeat and you have this summer’s hottest aural cocktail, the Lil miSbreaks
Deviant
In a relatively short space of time DJ Deviant has risen to notoriety in the Melbourne dance music scene. Deviant runs Rock Like This Productions which has seen him play alongside Dopamine, Hook n Sling and Dirty D.
Quick
Quick has been behinde the decks for many years, showcasing his skills as one of melbournes most exciting drum and bass dj's. This time around we have him closing the night with a downtempo and minimal tech set.
as always we have resident same'0 supplying a nice dose of deep breaks
