Super Nintendo
Getting back into the old Super Nintendo of late. Bringing back loads of memories games such as:
Streetfighter 2: The champion of all fighting games, to this day it has yet to be topped.
Super Mario world: YOOOSSHHHIIEEEE!!!!!!
Zelda 3: So much homework wasn't done because of this game in 1993!
TMNT4: Yeah thats right Ninja Turtles!
Parodius: VERY wierd shoot em up game (but super addictive!)
Anyone else into thier SNES, any games I may have forgotten/should check?

I downloaded a whole bunch of midi files of the music from all the mario games the other day.
Me and the lady got home pissed on Fri and then spent about a good amount of time trawling through the tunes and having a good larf.

"In November of 1982 my best friend had a Sony TCS-310 Stereo Cassette Recorder. Audio cassette tape was the affordable recording media at the time and one wintery day while on our way to the arcade 'Just Fun' in Ithaca, NY, we came up with the idea to record video game sounds in the arcades.
We recorded our video game experiences from 1982 until 1988 in a variety of locations on the East Cost. Most of the recordings come from Ithaca, NY, Albany, NY and Ocean City, MD. Other locations include Lancaster, PA, Falmouth, MA, Rehoboth Beach, DE and Key West, FL.
Luckily I stored all fourteen audio tapes in a safe place and rediscovered them when I moved the rest of my stuff out of my parents house in 1997. In the last few years I digitized these nostalgic recordings to preserve and share them.
Experience the magic and the wonder of the early years of coin-op video games. Hear the classic arcade ambience like you haven't heard it in twenty four years! The blend of several video games being played simultaneously, the kids yelling and the quarters clanking. We will never hear such beautiful chaos quite the same way again...."

I'm still better at frogger though
I actually do remember having the green screen one as well. Will have to hunt around for it.

Perfect timing for this thread!
I've been going through a SNES craze at the mo.
Me and the missus had cravings for 16 bit glory and bought a
SNES in really good condition off eBay.
Got Mario All Stars, Super Mario Kart and am desperatly trying to get
my hands on Secret of Mana, which is my favourite game of all time!
Seen a couple of copies of Secret of Mana go for $120 + on eBay Aus!
Had Shadowgames and Sweetcheeks over last night basking in the warm
glow of the ol' SNES.... aaaaahh good times

Super Mario music is great. I can still play the original theme on guitar, complete with the star jingle.mrj wrote:Hehehhe

SUPER MARIO KART!!!
I don't actually remember 1995 because of this game.
Watch it, mrj. You know what I am like when my competitive streak kicks in
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."

I can beat you all on mario Kart
ALL!

As you said tho, tres pricey.
I gave my SNES and all my games to the salvos when I moved to Melbourne.
You are so on with the Mario Kart challenge.
Give me a week to warm up. Now where to gets me a snes.
OH MY GOD!! My brother still has his!! And he doesn't use it!!!

mmmm yes snes, mine just died, kept resetting. Me and my brother saved up for ages to buy SF2 from the US, got it and forgot to order an adapter, very frustrating week waiting for the adapter those school holidays way back when.
Ahhh the memories.
What was the other fighting game with the skeleton an ice dude, fire dude called, i've got it at home and forgotten.
Had some sick combo's in that game.

Don't forget to bring a towell!!
I've been running SNES and NES emulators on my PSP. It's awesome playing the good ol' console games in transit.
Finally clocked TMNT (original) on NES ... took too much time back in the day, seemed much easier ... must have been the fact you can save whenever you goddamn feel like it =p

Hahaha i too have been hitting up my old snes. My xbox broke a few months ago, so i dug out the ol' snes. Fuck, pretty much all snes games are top quality gameplay.
At the mo i got Donkey Kong Country 2 (<3) Yoshi's island, Killer instinct (more enjoyable than street fighter imo. combos!) and Mortal Kombat 1. I've been looking on ebay for Super Metroid, damn i love that game.
Also one of my housemates dug out his Nintendo64. Multiplayer goldeneye and mario kart epic battles galore! Go nintendo.
Has anyone got a Gamecube? Considering getting one of these since i've caught the nintendo bug again...

I've been LOVING my DS Lite lately though. SNES was fun, but the remix of some of those games on the DS BLOWS MY MIND.
Just my IMO.
