JIVE! @ ESPY THIS SAT NIGHT: PAUL VAN DYKE!!

Post by Melbourne Funk Collective »

Not really...

Image

Funky eclectic pop beats just went electro down at The Espy in St. Kilda. With eyes to the dance floor and ears to a wide variety of all things catchy, the big American and the Asian Shoe Salesman, also known as Obliveus and Hans-DC, have teamed up to unleash a monthly concoction of whatever it is they call “good”. These lads have been known to rock a party, or twenty, and have been given the keys to a wicked venue, a wicked sound system and absolutely no stranglehold on music policy. Expect beats you can sing, groove, jump, hop, hip, slip, slide, swerve, bang and/or break to. Along to add a touch of the crunky is the pleasing CWD, so get yourselves down for a good time. Don’t say we didn’t warn ya!

Also, Jive! is happy to be home to the official launch of 'Finger Lickin Thang 4' mixed by Soul of Man and out now on Finger Lickin/Inertia. FREE giveways on the night from Inertia. We'll supply the backrubs and foot massages and counseling will be on offer throughout the night for those unnacustomed to warm weather and phat beats.

Jive! @ The Espy Public Bar. 11 The Esplanade, St Kilda. Saturday November 4th. 9:00pm-3:00am. FREE ENTRY!!!

No, but look how quickly the word on the mb.com street gets out.

'Paul Van Dyke' was actually my real name before I went into the witness detection program for mob connections in the US.

I do love my euro-power trance though and if that 'other pvd' guy hadn't of cornered the market on the sound, I'd still be using it and running for my life.

Brb's Avatar is of the sickiest dj in the world (Duckboy), give him a gig or he'll beat you up. If you say he's shit, he'll beat you up. What were Summadaze think by not hiring him......

I wish i had that much talent, i must learning not to read a crowd, how to not mix muscially or be able to beat match and i too can be that good. What the fuck do they teach these young kids who do dj school ? Couldn't be Shep, he is good and has talent and tact, unlike duckboy...

For the most amusing read this year go to ITM and read duckboys thread on getting a gig. bwhahahaha

There something in that for everyone.

Seriously???

That's an oversight of great magnitude.

I mean, they've run a few tribal house parties with Dark Beat haven't they?
