DJ of the Year: I'm going to say Sean cause there has been a fair bit of him and seen some killer sets that even upstaged some headliners for my liking.

Dj of the year (were talking local yeah) - im gunna say Ides - and i say Ides because EVERY set I hear her play is spot on, EVERY set is slightly different and she is always ALWAYS making sure she plays new music, and not played by anyone else. Pushes the boundries.

Open Souls - Kaleidoscope

Gig of the Year:
Fat Freddys Drop at the forum, also I <3 NZ too with Open Souls, King Kapisi and DJ Fitchie and Dallas from Fat Freddys at the Prince bandroom

Local DJ of the Year:
Hmmm, has to go to Sean as JPS still doesn't give good enough blowies

Its golfball through a hose not hotdog down a hallway

Up and Comer:
Agree with Dboy on this AC23 got some stella taste in music, loving the selections, keep it up bad bwoy, but quit sooking bout dem poms and the ashes

Bet you're glad you never sold your decks now huh? biggups

Local Production Track:
DLI with that first track on Kammos October/November Mix, shit is (to quote my hero Dave Chapelle) balling.

Best Local MC:
I swear no bias here but Direkt has been keeping the skipety hop alive and well. I sincerly believe he has one of the best pronounciation and flows to come out of an Australians mouth.
For example "And to all you muthafucking haters, you can suck my snag and taters!"

This easily wins over previous great OZ MC contenders such as Lindy Chamberlains "A dingo stole my baaiby" Gough Whitlams "Well God may save the queen, but nothing can save the Governer General", the chick in the old TAC ad who screams "Darren!" and Steve Irwins final "Crickey! a freaking big stingray, isn't he beeeaudifull"

I swear that fucker had me in stitches during every band practice with his lowbrow freestyle dick and fart joke ....and Im sure we all know by know how much i like lowbrow humour

Best Venue:
Toss up between Miss Libertines and Lucky coq (based purely on venue decor/layout, not patrons or music style)
Please oh please make Miss Libertines a little more cosy Jerry, how about you make that top third room into one of those ball pits that used to be at Ikea, that would be the shiznit

album: the eraser. unlike most musicians who are activists, yorke has a knack for writing meaningful and relevant lyrics ('analyse' and 'the clock' especially). i think the whole album is brilliant.
