Is there a holiday the next day or is this another school night gig?

I'll be there regardless, just wondering?

I remember the first time I saw Crystal Method, it was at Redheads (now I'm really showing my age) and was partly responsible for my love of the broken beat

they are closing BDO Boiler Room so there should eb an good turnout for this.

Last TCM gig I did at Metro wasn't bad ... only funny thing was TCM didn't know how to use a DJ mixer hehe. That and Mangan and their tour managers argument.

The are closing the boiler room - so the CM aren't performing now at the BDO??? Please explain. :?
I just bought tix off a mate so as I wouldn't have to go out on a wed night.

Fuckin lame, all accross the board.
Crystal Meth on a wed night - what is with that anyway?
I know it would be cheaper and all - but fuck man. It's the Crystal Method!
What's next, Roni Size on a fucking Tuesday afternoon, because it's cheaper? :smt019
Maybe we could do the Plump DJ's next time on a Monday lunch, down at Bridie O'reilly's?

I just wanted to hear some of their new stuff. I know for a fact they can't DJ for peanuts, but are probably two of the most knowledgable producers in the world today. And their live act rocks. (Shame they aren't going live)
A DJ set - bah! :smt021

Who got them on the main nights - Adelaide, or maybe Canberra? All I know is, we didn't. :?

Dang! Huge disapointment.

Crytal Method = Crystal Waters

cant stop giggling at a mental image of Crystal Method turning up to BDO and not playing but instead helping dismantling the tent at the end of the show with the carnies.

As shepherd said, they are playing at BDO and this is a side show for them.

It was most likely the only night they could play, so it was Wednesday or nothing. I'll take the Wednesday option Thanks

Cant wait for this, not doing the BDO thing this year so tres elated I get to see them at a side show...

See your friendly neighbourhood crew member for some nice ticket deals! VIP shizzle and Crystal Method cocktails (!) etc...

And CM will be on reasonably early aswell, so you can still get home at a semi sain hour... 8)

I think the venue's fine. It's an absolute joy for DJ's, fairly nice surrounds, crowd may not please everyone, but considering who's playing I think you'll get a pretty decent crowd along.

Sorry marcus, but it's a venue that turns down the air con (or turns up the heat), has only warm running water in the toilets and has security that allows the worst dancefloor harassment of women I have ever seen: The fact it's a wednesday may save you from what is probably the worst regular crowd in our scene - 19 year old, hawthorn and camberwell "preppies", who get will turn up no matter who is playing because money is no issue.

Hopefully, things have changed since my last visit but I doubt it.

I've only had good experiences with Room.... first time I went there was for Luke Slater in early 2003. I'm not discounting what you say, and knowing the types of people in that area I'm sure you're right. But for the times I've been there it's not been the case.
