Ed Rush and Optical - Sunday 11th March

Post by mesh »

Greetings all Melbournebeats crew, its our pleasure to announce a high quality affordable alternative for drum'n'bass heads on the Sunday before Labour Day.

ED RUSH & OPTICAL – THE CHAMELEON TOUR
Labour Day Weekender - Sunday 11th March 2007

One of the most heavyweight production teams in drum and bass is back after a lengthy silence to reclaim their status as groundbreaking, genre-defining producers and DJs. For over a decade the names Ed Rush and Optical have symbolised the cutting-edge, futuristic vibe of the darker side of drum’n’bass.

Now they return to the southern hemisphere with their own brand of future funk – Virus style!

Local DJs: Sean, Valuetime, Kier, Seven and Mesh. Tray MC on the mic.

The Hi-Fi Bar, 125 Swanston St: 10pm – 5am.
Tickets are just $30 + BF, available from www.thehifi.com.au, DMC, Central Station and Polyester.

The rubber plant was surprised. If the rubber plant could have spoken, it wouldn't have said anything. That's how surprised the rubber plant was.

Nah, Prince of Wales with SS and GQ was in 02 or 03.

That was an AMAZING night. Having SS get back on at 5.30am and tear it out until they kicked us out about 7am... fucking madness.

Yup, he had his own recording with something like "SS in Melbourrrrrne, listen now, Melbourrrrne".

Didn't know it was Tali though...I thought the chick sounded African American

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Tali.

It was like a special VIP thing with a chick singing, if I remember correct.

That was the first night I met JC who introduced me to pretty much all my current crew.

Biggups JC!

Are you for real.
It was pure shite, It was a Virus Vaults tour and can't recall one virus tune.
you need to smoke less then. :P there was some virus bizness in there for sure.
Fast Car being played and rewound?! haha
some of the tunes were arse, sure. most of them were heavy tho. and mixing was on point every time.
I ended up in the breaks room upstairs with that MC Chikaboo :smt055
i remember heading upstairs for a bit to escape, and being driven straight down by all the vapid breaks girls, nahmean.
