I think you're missing the main feature of this particular model Lucas - the retracting rope. It allows for swift rescue in conditions where landing is not possible or convenient

At work I park my car on the street and its only 2 hour parking, so I gotta check it periodically. Last night I dreamt my tyres were marked. And today they are marked. Freaky.

Of all my dreams that could come true, it had to be this one...

What's with the 11 year warranty? Weird number...

Meanwhile, has anyone here ever eaten at idibidi's on Brunswick St? Just had dinner there with people from my old work. There is one crazy waiter there- nearly smacked me in the jaw with my plate. He goes flying around the place... crazy guy. Freaked me out a little.

not free but pretty cheap:
EAVESDROP
AN IMMERSIVE CINEMA INSTALLATION

By Pledger and Shaw
a Not Yet It's Difficult production

Eavesdrop is a new collaboration which pushes the limits of cinematic and theatrical imagination.

Created by interactive art and new media innovator Jeffrey Shaw and artistic director of not yet it's difficult David Pledger, this interactive installation offers audiences a new way to experience cinema.

Eavesdrop is a kind of jigsaw story puzzle. On a circular panoramic screen ten characters are forever doomed to repeat nine minutes of their lives.

The characters explore terrain that is at once spiritual, moral, ethical, psychological and physical. This ingeniously crafted artwork is driven by any member of the public who, as the user/director, reveals the secrets hidden in the interconnected stories.

Part game, part real-time film-making, part spectator sport, part magical realism, the experience allows audiences to eavesdrop on the conversations of ordinary life and go one step further than they might expect.

It’s all about defying physics and taking the limits of the human body to another level.

This one's free:
JAZZ IN PARRAMATTA PARK

Blowin’ The Blues
With James Morrison

Expanding the tradition of Sydney Festival’s free public concerts in the Domain, for the first time we present a fantastic line up of jazz and blues artists in Parramatta Park.

Trumpeting legend James Morrison is joined by guests including Renée Geyer, The Backsliders and Jeff Lang.

Multi-instrumentalist James Morrison is, by anybody’s standard, a virtuoso in the true sense of the word. Undoubtedly Australia’s most celebrated jazz artist, his diverse international career has taken him to every corner of the globe.

He and his extraordinary line-up join the Sydney Festival Jazz Orchestra, which has delighted Domain audiences for the past three years.

Don’t miss this great free night out! Grab a blanket, pack a picnic and catch up with friends and family at this very special event.

It was ok, food was tasty... had the chicken salad... they have gourmet pizza, pasta, etc. reasonable prices. Nothing about it that makes me want to take others there in a hurry though (having said that, I would go back again if the occasion called for it). I was told they have a band there on the weekends though if you're into that.
