Fuck ninemsn for their lacklustre performance. I sent them 2 emails hoping to get some ninemsn advertising for Fireaid.

Received this about half an hour ago...

I think someone said in another thread that we really shouldn't get too derrogatory towards people/companies/etc who couldn't for whatever reason, help out with Fire Aid. As they said, don't want to burn any bridges for future events innit.

If you're so shitty about it mixy, why didn't you call them after you didn't get a response on email?

You're asking for something for nothing - it seems a bit hasty to jump the gun and tell Wil he can suck your dick because he replied late.

:scr1pt:

we had a lot of promotion for the event, and everything was great.

Please don't bad mouth people, i know its hard, but MB will likely put on events again, and will ask them again.

Not everyone feels how we do. They have their reasons.

I did try call them. No luck.

I wrote them twice.

Of course I'm shitty that my effort was for naught. I'm more upset with the comment than the late reply.

Then again, I also wrote to The Age and didn't get a reply at all from them.

Why can't I be mad??? I feel like, to them, FireAid wasn't important enough because they wouldn't get anything out of it...instead of just offering a little space on their site, they didn't feel it was worth it. That makes me mad.

I can be mad!!

Losing my weekly gig, not so much the gig but the $ were good. Was res at the pub for the last year or two, another local DJ came in and cut my lunch for half price.

What shit's me the most is when I asked the owner of Congo Blue (watch your back if you deal with him) about a gig a few years back he told me to go through the resident DJ and sort it out with him, no such courtesy back from him this time around.

Kinda glad too now, no more pissed chick's asking for something by ministry/(fuckin black eyed peas) or blokes wanting 500 miles/thunderstruck.

yeah, end rant.

(Don't stop movin to the boogie woogie beat, Don't stop movin to the S Club beat) x4

DJ got the party started, theres no end in sight
Everybody's movin to the rythym thats inside
Its a crazy world, but tonight's the right situation
Don't get left behind

I can feel the music flowing through me everywhere
Aint no destination baby, we don't even care
There's a place to be if you need the right education
Let it take you there

Let it go with the magic baby
I can see it's there in your eyes (I can see it's there in your eyes)
Let it flow, stop the waiting
Friday on the dancefloor is where you gotta let it go

Don't stop moving
Can you feel the music
DJ's got us going around, 'round
Don't stop moving
Find your own way to it
Listen to the music taking you to places that you've never been before
Baby now

Livin' up times and the moment, all those feelings in the air
Don't know where we're goin baby, we don't even care
Aint no mystery, just use your imagination
Let it take you there

Let it go with the magic baby
I can see it's there in your eyes (I can see it's there in your eyes)
Let it flow, stop the waiting
Friday on the dancefloor is where you gotta let it go

Don't stop moving
Can you feel the music
DJ's got us going around, 'round
Don't stop moving
Find your own way to it
Listen to the music taking you to places that you've never been before
Baby now

(Don't stop movin to the boogie woogie beat, Don't stop movin to the S Club beat) x4

Forget about your fears tonight
Listen to your heart
Let's just touch the sky
No need to reason why
Just listen to the sound
Let it make you come alive

Don't stop moving
Can you feel the music
DJ's got us going around, 'round (don't stop movin)
Don't stop moving
Find your own way to it
Listen to the music (yeah yeah yeah)

Don't stop moving
Can you feel the music
DJ's got us going around, 'round (don't stop movin)
Don't stop moving
Find your own way to it
Listen to the music taking you to places that you've never been before
Baby now

I got three posters sent from the US and somehow somehow fucked up my address so it has my work address with a collingwood postcode.

No idea how it happened, think paypal might have merged two addresses?

So now I pretty much won't get it.

Nah, the post office doesn't always care about post codes. I've received mail with a completely mis-spelled street name and the incorrect postcode.

Good luck.

Might be a different story if you're in a big building...

If there's a security guy or receptionist at the lobby, just let them know you're waiting for a parcel and hopefully it'll end up with you.

I am totally over it, I wasn't even in bed when it happened. I just think it was a pretty shit (and unnecessary) thing to do. This thing was driving on the footpath right past people's front windows.

What's with you constantly trolling the gripe thread and telling people to "get over it" and some such?

I think some times there are gripes on here that need to be put in perspective. You must of known that they would clean the city and that it would make lost of noise before you moved in.

I know there is noise in the city. I'm used to it. This was particularly noisey. AND at 12:30 I think it's pretty shit considering you can't make that sort of noise in your own house after about 9. As if they couldn't sweep the footpath during the day.
