if anynoe has made real bagels, they are boiled not baked, and have lots of bicarb in em too!
they look real lumpy and wierd but taste SO GOOD!!
new york bagels my arsehole, they are FAKE!!!!!
however, the traditional NY breakfast is always the birthday treats in our house....poppy seed bagels, cream cheese (neufchatel, none o this philly shit) snmoked salmon and either capers or pickles, red onion ring and pepper

for sure. i use the olive oil margerine stuff a fair bit too but you've always got to have some real butter in the fridge. certain things, like crumpets, just aren't right without it
