This isn't like a bunch of candy ravers showing up at a dnb party... this is people showing up at a GAY CLUB and being ABUSIVE towards GAYS. It's clearly a bit beyond 'ignore it and pretend it's not there'... it's affecting his business and something he has put a lot of time, money and dedication into.

Besides, it's a private establisment, they should be able to reject whoever the fuck they want. So far, it seems the only people moaning about it are those who have never been there, have no intentions of ever going there, but are suddenly mortified that they can't be a part of it.

It's those people who should "Harden the fuck up".

i can understand rejecting people under the guise of "keeping up appearances" but i have a nagging feeling that its probably a small group of people that are causing the problem as opposed to the majority of the heterosexual clientele. Banning people based on sexual preference isn't much less ignorant than abusing people based on sexual preference.

There was an interesting letter to the editor in 'Mx' yesterday by a supposed gay male who was outraged with the ruling - saying that this is just going to open the floodgates for further discrimination.

I can see both sides to the argument. And I find it really sad in today's day and age that there are still small-minded, ignorant people out there who hate on anyone based on their sexuality, ethnicity or religion. It's these people that need the "harden the fuck up" and realise that other people's "life preferences", and I use that term loosely, should not concern them.

That would surprise me.

The story of Sodom & Gomorrah appears in the Old Testament, which is a Jewish text - Jews are not the biggest fans of homosexuality from my understanding (Ie. it is forbidden) - so I'd doubt they put a good light on homosexuality IMO.
