Firstly, thanks to all who came and played or partied with us at our first birthday.
Was indeed a wicked night for all concerned.
Continuing on with our monthly expansion series, this month's party will again feature two rooms of shit hot music all night.
Returning to the Glasshouse on the Friday night this time, More Bass has found it's new home and we've moved all our furniture.
The front room will be a night of techno techno from Detroit to London and beyond.
Don't expect a minimal excursion, expect proper f***ing techno techno all night long until PCP joins us very late to rinse y'all out Collingwood jungle style. Oi.
The side room will be on more of a party tip with breaks, drum n bass, electro, hip hop, and indie dance rock.
Making a very welcome return to More Bass' always diverse and varied line-ups are -
CuZnMatt - Party bringer and More Bass co-founder, CuZnMatt is one dj who can truly boast a unique sound, focusing on breaks, but also mashing hip hop, rock, techno, electro and anything that will mix, CuZnMatt's star is on the rise. Heads up.
PCP - Yours truly, More Bass world take-over co-conspiritor, PCP is garn rinse the glass clean at Boom Boom Boom with a big bad bass jungle, drum n bass and hip hop dancefloor munter. PCP plays bloody everything, anywhere, anytime. On the up and up, PCP plays this style best.
C:1 - Our new resident and ghetto tech superstar is taking us to Detroit this time on three technics 1200 decks, her preferred medium. C:1 recently relocated from Brisbane where she shared the stage with every second underground international who came to town such as Luke Slater, Dj Storm, The Orb, Ed Rush and Optical, Dj Ty, and many more.
MBug - One of Melbourne's Techno Stalwarts, Messy Creations founder and a true inspiration to More Bass from the get go, his last set at the last ace morning was a complete stormer. Expect no less from a man of his stature.
Chestwig - Party bringer extrordanaire, incognito pants man, a people's dj like no other. Anyone who's witnessed Chestwig of late will attest to his many talents and vast knowledge of all dance music styles. Expect the unexpected but expect class.
JD - An acid techno lover, and part of the Tekno Mulisha, JD has been avin' it large for many years. Toning the tempo down slightly for More Bass, JD gets to play stuff here he doesn't have much chance to elsewhere. He reckons he's gonna play proper electro stuff at Boom Booom Boom but we always ask people to play what they want.
Neocortex - Another Tekno Mulisha member, Neocortex is another bangin' tech dj. His 909 parties at Ace Morning are stuff of legend and hazy memories. Presenting his wild style of music and mixing is testament to our commitment to fully represent the full spectrum of dance.
Bringing some new blood into the More Bass veins as we always like to do, this month we have.
Tim Boyd - Founder of the legendary Technoir parties Tim's a long time supporter of More Bass. Tim says he's going to play speaker licking techno, electro, techno & breaks. He'll also bring a bag of his own favourites and will be playing unreleased music by Evan Sparks, Luke McD, Tronikelesch, Smudj
Decksi - A dj for more than 13 years, Decksi has been a bit quiet of late, focusing more on his productions, as Paranoid Edge. It brings great pleasure to get him back behind the decks at More Bass. A true junglist, Decksi also plays breaks and anything he damn pleases thank-you very much.
So get on in peoples, as always we a low low cover charge of only $10 unless ya email us at
[email protected]
and get on the guestlist which makes it only $7 and gets you on the more bass and pcp mailing list. Please let us know if you don't want our spam.
