A new tattoo dye that can be removed by one simple laser procedure, for those 'fuck I wish I hadn't done that' moments.

fuck that.
At Bambu Tattoo Art Studio in Providence, tattoo artist George Dietz said he's sceptical about whether the ink will last, and said he probably won't use it when it becomes available.

"If people don't want something permanent," he said, "they shouldn't get a tattoo."
no regrets.

Mmm, stocking seam tatts, classy....

I'm pretty sure the pose is taking the piss (what with it being on the bonnet of an SUV), but still....

The lawnmower seems to be doing the rounds - also popular on guys' bald spots.

Whatever the context of the corset piercings (did I miss something?), I'm going to be one of those people and get in early with "You know those things aren't permanent!"

Denis Leary was talking about piercings and his Dad but it's still relevant:

"It's just one more thing for him to grab you by..."

I'd be afraid someone would jsut grab and rip. That would hurt

^^ Or you could just wait for them to fester out of their own accord, which would probably hurt more:

I think the bigger problem with corset piercing is that people actually think it looks good. That shit is vomit inducing.

Each to their own I say.

At this stage in my life I've saved the embarasment of potentially having 20 different female names tattoo'd soem where on my arms or where ever, 6 or 7 band logos of bands I played in and which I thoght were gonna totally rule and dominate the word which I don['t even have recordings of anymore.... jut by not getting tattoos.

what is your problem?
everyone else is all scripto and its fine by you...WTF?

what i was gonig to say, but CENSORED myself, is that many people dont understand the motivations behind body mods at ALL.

for some, like the emo kids, it is a cool hardcore thing that makes you look cool and gives you tuff cred etc.

for others, its a LIFE CHOICE along the road from hating your body to loving it, its a process of experimentation, of self inflicted pain with a deeper meaning, a process of healing both insdie AND out, and i dont expect anyone to understand it unless they have been through it.

have some freakin respect.

May have missed the boat (stoopid meetings), but in addition to agreeing with Kitty.....
Hardy wrote:I think the bigger problem with corset piercing is that people actually think it looks good. That shit is vomit inducing.
The problem I have is not with what you think about corset piercings (frankly, I couldn't give a fuck), but saying that a body mod is "vomit inducing" is pretty offensive. It is essentially saying that you find a person and their choices repellant. Not surprisingly, this comes across as a very personal attack, even if it's not meant that way.

There is by absolutely no means consensus among the body mod community on what are 'good' or 'bad' mods. There is as much range for personal preference as there are people involved. However, what you do find is that comments are based on taste: "I don't like it," "I'd never do that," or even "I think the bigger problem with corset piercing is that people actually think it looks good", which are fine. It's when an element of judgment enters that the line is crossed.

For the record, I don't have a corset piercing, nor do I want one. I have had other surface piercings, though, and fuck does it open you up to wrong comments!

thankyou retzie, you said it better than i.
id never do surface piercings either, and have taken out all of my piercings over the years, but feel strongly about the reasons behind my own body mods and hate them being written off in such a derogatory way.

and charlie > mine do it too sumtime babe, i think its jsut a sign you might be run down, or yes, in the sun, etc....

nothing to worry about.
