Stable, Miss Libertine and a bunch of friends present,

Lasergun...rest in pieces...

The return of electro pioneers

Bangkok Impact [Finland]
& DJ TLR AKA Mr Clavio [Holland]

Friday October 26th 2007

---This will be the last lasergun ever!!! And we mean ever--

Rest in Pieces -The definitive dancefloor demise of the legendary Lasergun!

Featuring Finland's finest electric export Bangkok Impact - aka Sami Luiski - the discorhythmic prince of electro funk is back to push your buttons and jack your box. With a sound that stretches from The Hague to Chicago via Rimini and back again come and get sky high with his techno travelogue and worldwide workouts! With Melbourne dancefloor favourites like Putsch '79, 8BitRockers and Lolita Strap all bearing his sonic stamp, his live show will freak you sideways.

Joining him is the Master of the electro Universe: Mr Global Darkness himself DJ TLR. (aka Mr Clavio). His last visit to Australia gave Melbourne dance floors an acidic lesson in how to jack. Come and complete your adult education with The Hague hotness, disco delights and chi-town acid excursions mixed with the finest electro jams.

Get on the starters block and rev your Mink Engines! The Mink Engine Lazergun Techno-colour Opera will synthesize the Miss Libertines stage with the day-glo power of their new Jooga single. Featuring eye-flying video candy from the soon to be released Mink Engine DVD, it will play phaser games with your lazer brain! Catch these elusive Minkies and a barrage of local talent for the last Lasergun event ever!!

Dave Pham, Agent 86, Not Happy Jan, Mike Callander, Quirk, Dr Hysteric, Kiti, Portal, Glitch, Toupee, The Alias, and Peter Baker.

Limited $16 Pre-sale tickets are available through inthemix.com.au and moshtix outlets, $20 tickets available on the door if you look dead and $25 for General Admission for Health Brains..

Can someone please play some Boris Divider? Volsoc? A gig as important as this could probably break the stereotype that shadows the genre with it's fluro t-shirts and ass entering tight pants fuckheads with messy hair done on purpose.

I learnt a lot about electro working at Slap, and all i can say is that there is probably only a third of it represented and you'd be hard pressed to find the heavier side played out. So much gold yet so well hidden...

with three former slappers on the lineup i dont think it will be a problem ;-)
last time bangkok impact played at meccanoid/lasergun he did an encore set of his old super raw 8bitrockers (bunker records) stuff with live vox - which also included some input from excited girls in the audience... hopefully we get to see and hear a repeat!
BUT i think you can expect to hear anything from hiphop/italo/dubstep/ straight up electro / detroit / wonky disco / classic techno / minimal / acid house / to who the fuck knows...
