what i want to know is, how are they going to tackle drink/food spiking?
the stated point of the program is not to identify and charge people with using drugs. its to stop people taking drugs and driving.
if they can't find a reliable benchmark to test people (a la .05), they're not testing your intoxication, just whether you've used drugs (or been around those that have). therefore, the whole drug bus concept is moot, imho.
not that i endorse the usage of drugs, but some people in clubland may be taking them next to me and i might accidently passive smoke, therefore i am not allowed to drive...

I've been saying for years that the only correct way of determining whether a driver is impaired is by actually testing the level of their impairment. If I were feeling more resourceful right now, I'd look up the company from the UK that has been developing a computer-based logic, reflex, and reasoning test for precisely this purpose.
Typical of our fucking society to try and treat the symptoms rather than the cause. Fortunately the rates of casual marijuana use are high enough in Victoria that I think this won't last for long in its current state.

Mate unlike drink driving this has absolutley nothing to do with TAC, its all the cops and government, my sister works for TAC and TAC wouldnt go near it till its all been sorted out.
I wanted to rehash the past and ask about Zydot or whatever, vinegar, et al, if anyone has heard of any fool proof answers or what... I heard that if you say yes to drinking that they can't drug test you also? all in the name of research

In that sitch, I reckon my lack of poker face would have had me in the back of a divvy van, regardless of my test results. As would the pee in my pants
We were at Blue Bar having some beers at around 1pm on Sunday, it's amazing how many trash-heads are still stumbling around Chapel St at that time.... wish I could rock out that long these days!
I question if these things actually work, or if they are infact using them ?? (ie: Says DRUGS on the bus, but they may have only been testing for booze):
I've been through these things 3 times, stoned as a MAGGOT and blew nothing..
Thankfully the bar person found it highly amusing.
