Gimme a Break! Presents THE BREAKFASTAZ (UK) Sat 4th of June
On Sat 4th of June get ready for the ride of your life as Melbourne’s premiere monthly breaks party Gimme a Break! proudly presents
THE BREAKFASTAZ (UK).
Undoubtedly the biggest hard breaks act in the world today, these guys have set the breaks world on fire recently with bomb after bomb on every big breaks label worth listening to.
We are honored to have them playing at Gimme during their first ever Australian tour.
Here’s some info.........
With over 17 successful releases and remixes on respected breaks labels such as Passenger and Mob in little over 12 months, their offerings have received support and heavy rotation from scene stalwarts such as the Freestylers, Meat Katie, Aquasky, Krafty Kuts, Plump DJs, Deekline, Tayo, Ali B and even catching the ear of Seb Fontaine, highlighting the enormous impact they’ve had on the scene in such a short period of time.
To back up their releases, the guys have been DJing everywhere from London to Spain to the United States and were also invited to do guest shows and interviews on Radio 1 (Annie Nightingale), Xfm (Eddie Temple-Morris) and Kiss 100 (Tayo), accompanying their weekly shows on Pyrotechnic Radio (Fridays 3-5PM GMT - www.pyrotechnicradio.com) and on Breaks FM (Saturdays 6-8pmPM GMT - www.breaksfm.com).
Their hard work is already being recognised, with the guys being featured on the front cover of IDJ’s ‘Players Of The Year 2004’ December edition and recently winning Best Breakthrough Act at the Breakspoll World Breakbeat Awards 2005, as well as being nominated for Best Producers too.
The future is also looking bright for The Breakfastaz with imminent releases on Against The Grain and an album project looming large.
What the press say............
‘…there is no hotter act right now in the Breakbeat scene and considering how good everyone’s become lately, that really is saying something.’ - DJ Mag, April ‘04
‘The future of UK dance music is safe if the hands of these 3 West London boys!’ – Eddy Temple-Morris, XFM, Jan ‘05
‘With pinpoint dance-floor targeting and rough ’n’ tough production, The Breakfastaz have quickly become breakbeat hot property…’ – Knowledge, July ‘04
‘…The Breakfastaz fire the warning shots of this mobs arrival into the breakbeat premier league…’ – Knowledge, August ‘04
‘Although it’s been a good year for breaks generally, there’s been little in the way of shit-hot new talent coming through. There has, however, been one new name on the breaks circuit that will forever be connected with 2004; The Breakfastaz.’ – IDJ, December ‘04
You excited yet?
With Local support from Little Evil, Guyno, Obliveus, Shane Ford and MC Dr Sponk in the main room, and Ferris and Ben Stacey in the side room, this is looking to be one of the most exciting and unique nights of Breakbeat mayhem Melbourne has yet seen.
You’d be mad to miss it!!
Bring your own milk and sugar, we’ll supply the bass!!

I thought they only allowed Australians to visit the UK. I didn't know that Kiwi's were allowed anywhere in that part of the world. Dont you have to get some form of special VISA that says you wont be staying for longer than 2 weeks and you promise not to share a flat with 30 other kiwis? Or is that only in Fitzroy? But that's cool that yer goin to hang with Numnuts. Try to keep him out of trouble. It's been like 2 years since I've seen him I think. We'll miss you Fi!!!stovequeen wrote:lol, now that would be scary..haobliveus wrote:Damn. Maybe we can get some t-shirts made with your face on them, so it's like you're still here with us. Because they have have this habit of smuggling sheep into a country?
What I want to know is, how do you fit a sheep up your arse? Do you have to massage it in like the 'heroin in the condoms' guys do?
What happens if it starts "bahhhhhing?"
Only joking. hehe.

He laughs his arse off, then I laugh my arse off at him laughing his arse off, then he laughs his arse off at me laughing my arse off at him laughing his arse off and so and and so forth. I reckon it's all in the presentation and the delivery.Guyno wrote:It's funny you should say that GM coz I'm really hurting to purchase a pair of CDJ's for home but I was thinking if I wak a couple of Fisher Price stickers on them I won't get my arse chewed off for spending money on me!great_magnet wrote:The Mikahsaurus!

Step 1
Make sure you go with some Fisher Price stickers, other options would also include The Wiggles, Barney, Toyworld, Sesame Street, Sponge Bob, Nemo or any associated Disney/Pixar characters.
Step 2
Get some kiddy CD's (Wiggles, Hi 5 etc) and create a Mikah Mega Mix, then get him behind the decks or up dancing and you're on a winner
Step 3
Sell the ease of use factor. Mikah can learn to play CD's and beat match, therefore learning something constructive whilst also bonding with Dad. You're building his intelligence and motor skills whilst also creating a stronger family unit.
Step 4
Make Mummy a CD, complete with MC Mikah gurgling over some fresh Hi-5 beats, whack a cuddly "Proud Dad & Son" pic on the disk and give it to Bek as a "just because" pressie.
GUARANTEED WINNER!!

Had to wade thru all the sappy shit to find something about ME. hehe.Guyno wrote:Cheers BrB, Lynt and Mr Blueprint. Will be a hoot.
Fi - It just aint gonna be the same withoutcha girl.
Evil - Nice work on the tune brutha. F-I-N-I-T-O !!!!!!!! Yaaaaaay. Can't wait to hear it all polished n shit!
Kidding.
Been reading up on copyright and the likes when it comes to new tunes. Anyone out there have anything they can share?
Tips etc.
Have a few tunes that I have to get copyrighted before they go out in the world.
Just wondering what is the best way to go about it?
Should I just threaten to bash any cunt that rips off one of my tunes?
Seriously tho, have a fair idea, but wondering if there's an easy, yet effective way to do it?
Also, was wondering if there is an easy, yet effective way to shave ones ass? I was giving it a go this morning and accidently shaved off half a knacka.
Any help would be appreciated?
