dunno but they must be good! smart business man him.

also dont see teh point in preserving legal, or illegal walls from other graffiti. pointless really, if its good no one will touch it and even then who cares if it gets a bit of texta on it. take a photo i reckon - cant have it both ways.

the eternal debate.

im kind of on the side of > if its on the street, it is part of the ebb and flow of the urban landscape.

melb jsut wants to say 'weve got a banksy!! aint we cool!"

plus, there is still lots of his rats and other stuff down brunswick and smith st etc.

from The Age...

Banksy is believed to have painted the diver during a visit to Melbourne in 2003, along with "a heap of rats", of which just a few remain in the city's laneways.....

AND

He is also elusive, with even his agent claiming never to have met him.

He did a bunch of peices in Revolver that time round too, which are all behind glass now!

I could get him plane tickets out here (+) if someone knew how to get in contact with him.

Case in point.

I believe the Futura2000 piece was done over in Windsor.

There are of course people who have no idea. No one with any idea would go over a "trance" piece, outa respect, yet it has happened.

for serious guys, the way bansky has rocketed to the fame he has is by being elusive. on a grand scale.

its not as simple as a musical act who wants to be booked.

the more pubilc appearences he makes, the less his mystique.

I'm almost certain he wouldn't be interested in that kind of deal, Dboy - no matter who offerred it. He doesn't need any more cash, and even if he did, it's not the way he does things.

Sad in some ways, but fucken awesome attitude, IMO.
