traveled to Africa for a program called "Empowering Youth to Fight Racism, HIV/AIDS, Poverty and Lack of Education, the program is taking place in three major countries in Africa which is Ghana, South Africa and Nigeria. the present condition that i found myself is very hard for me to explain.

I am really stranded in Nigeria because I was attacked by some gang of armed robbers, i was bitten up thank God i got recued by a Hotel manager of Eko & Suite Hotel, i was taken to the Hospital for medical check up. I am now owning a hotel bill of $ 2550 and $1500 for the hospital fee which was paid by the hotel manager, they wanted me to pay the bill soon else or they will have to seize my bag and take me as a slave, so please i want you to help me with a sum of $4500 to sort out my problems here and get a flight ticket back home, i promise to pay back as soon as i return back home. Please understand how urgent i needed your help.

please let me know on time so that i can forward you the details you need to transfer the money through Money Gram or Western Union.

it's the holiday break, so the numbers of helpdesk people (at anywhere, not just google) will pretty low right now. i'm sure that they'll sort the issue out soon enough for you.

just as a related note of caution: i'd advise everyone using free webmail providers to use a password of a decent length ( > 8 characters, and don't just use letters and numbers) and change the password every 4 weeks or so.

so im supposed to wait five days and answer the golden question,

if its just one big spam and now itll be quiet for five days, and i can get my feckin name back, i can live with that.

ill pay money to anyone who can get my account back.

ive researched online and there is lots of dodgy people who say they can do it, and give you proof etc etc, then a whole lot of sites that say dont trust em.

i have waited the five days and tried to login again, as instructed, and they have even changed my security password.

I have emailed and reported to gmail with as much info as i can remember (i opened this account in 04 or 05)

i have a csv xcel document with about half the contacts in that account,
so that is something.

do i make a new account, new buisness cards, new accounts all over the web, change everything and send out notification to the half long list of contacts?

or is there ANY possible way/hackers/geniuses who can help me regain my ghettokitty name ?

Ok, my email password was stolen this morning. Luckily i dont have the same password for anything else.

I just logged into my yahoo account and changed my password and can now access my email.

Is there anything else i should do?
is there anyway of knowing if my contacts have received a fake email about my well being?

It has really freaked me out and i just wanna know that i have done everything i should have done.

Hmmm, good question.

At first i thought i was going crazy, typing my username and password a couple of times and it didn't work. so i rebooted and tried again.
it just wasn't working.
and when i tried using the 'forgot my password thing' it kept saying that there was no registered user by my name.

it was all very odd.

i couldn't get anywhere trying to log into the email sign on, but i could get into the general yahoo account log on.

maybe it was my assumption that was incorrect. but it was definitely playing up.
