Only three came up. They have been there for more than 5 years but starting causing me problems.

Last week i got a pretty bad infection in my lower one that had me home from work and on anti biotics and pain killers. Doc said i needed to get them all out asap.

I had them out under a general at The Avenue hospital on Tuesday. Pretty bad pain when i came out of the general. I'll survive 8)

I woke up from one feeling a million bucks (mainly because the procedure I went under for was not one that you would notice afterwards)

seriously I have never felt so happy or so well rested in my entire life. I insisted that I was able to walk home straight away and that I felt great. Then I jumped out of bed and fell and the nurse caught me lol. High as a kite!!

then they called my sister to come pick me up. The whole thing was pretty lol.

SQ - hope ur feeling betterer soon!!

ouch Fi crappy times. you'll get better!!
Fents wrote:i need mine done too :( so many horror stories.
hah here is mine to make it better for you...
an age ago on DOA huge wrote:i had all 4 of mine taken out last year... the surgeon diddnt tell me what was going on.

I just had some injections in my mouth, lots of little stabs here and there (pain).. no gas, no put to sleep or anything, just injections to numb the area.

the top ones came out easy, but he struggled getting the bottoms ones out.. he had to drill and drill for about 10 minutes to break them up, then i could feel him slipping on some parts with the pliers or whatever they were, like he was grabbing them, yanking, slipping off...

i thought that was bad.... until the fucking things hemorrhaged that night, i swallowed like... a fuckload of blood cos if i didn't swallow i woulda just been bleeding all over the place. massive blood clots the size of my tongue were choking me etc...i had to jsut rip them off cos they were too big....

blood sitting in the stomach does not work very well so i spent the whole night bleeding and throwing up the old blood which stinks like shit and only makes you throw up more blood....

my face and neck were black and blue for about a month, i couldn't close my mouth for 3 weeks... really starts to fuck you around after that long.

thank fuck you only have to go through it once... anything can happen... be warned.

i gotta get mine out too. dang it.

Worst general aesthetic story I have was my last ear operation. Woke up in recovery, sat up to say hi to the nurses and fell backwards and started convulsing. I went to shock! Oh joy. Nurses were going mental around me screaming "she's going into shock cover her up, cover her up", and others screaming "she is over heating, quick cool her down cool her down". Took three injections of some stuff to stop me vomiting. Good times

Goodtimes!

I had four in the chair also... it was awesome.

Bottom ones sounded like a bit of 6 x 4 timber being slowly broken. Bone grinding on bone is an awesome sensation.
