Totally agree with you Piet. I thought it was really average.

Gwyneth's acting was atrocious and the whole big bad America at war thing annoyed me too.

I know it was meant to be a comment on arms trading, but i don't think the message was carried across at all and all i got was America v.s the A-rabs....again.

saw iron man on the weekend.... twice...

Was awesome as everyone says... the R8 was the best part :P
Although watching it again I didn't notice much more than the first time... you know how some movies have heaps of layers and it's intriging to watch them again? Well it seemed that iron man was just a face value... Nothing wrong than that, it was awesome. But just don't think it will one of those very substantial movies. (i know i know, it's a friggen Marvel film, what am I expecting)

Can't wait to see Indiana Jones! that kid is 66 this year! whoa!

"iron man" stayed true to the comic book, albeit with the horror of gwenny as a ginger.

yeah although she was bareable... I haven't been able to stand her for a long time and when I saw her on the posters I thought "shit, she'll ruin it"
I was actually quite impressed with her and her character, not too annoying and not too friggen unbelievable. Oh and so glad they didn't kiss.

scripticles cha cha. I didn't think she was that bad.

yeah she was pretty uninteresting, but its an uninteresting character. although that said she's always pretty uninteresting in any moofie.

she came across as a plain and boring, which I reckon is what the character demanded, so I guess you would say its well cast.

ALTHOUGH I will say that they if they had cast Ilsa Fischer in that role it would have been a much much much better choice.

;)

and mrj and direktor > sheesh, im suprised!
surely you guys find people attractive based on certain physical qualities apart from simply 'hot' ?
i find her intriguing, she has a great smile, shes all buff in 'million dollar baby' and is a chick fighting for what she loves. thats why i like her, part of me wants to be her kinda.

Being "hot" is based on certain physical characteristics, amongst other things.

It's also purely subjective. Each to his own etc.

Playing a chick "fighting for what she loves" in a movie doesn't mean she's that in real life. Stating the obvious here, I know...

Pretty much the whole thang McCharlesworth...

There's nothing that really stands out as being particularly attractive (to me). Mind you, there's nothing really repulsive about her either.

Big teeth prob the worst bit.

Thought you were all talking about Hillary Clinton. Was all "her teeth aren't that bad but wouldn't tap because she is pro'lly blistering over with herpes, lice and the clap thanx to hubby putting his wooden spoon into other bowls of porridge".

Hillary Swank is ok actress but is in same boat as Sarah Jessica Parker. Both suffer from Horseitis.
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."

also... 10,000 BC was fucking SHIT and i will never get that 100 minutes of my life back.

NONE of it made sense - from the pyramids built 8,000 years before their time to the mildly retarded actors to the miraculous magical mammoth at the end of the film.

the only saving grace was the CG. and that makes up about 10 minutes of the film - the rest is the idiots parading around on screen trying to decide what generic stone-age culture they're from.
