GOTH TRAD - TOKYO JAPAN - LIVE
A unique producer with a unique style, Goth-Trad has emerged from the Japanese electronic scene in the last few years as one of the most
arresting artists from his generation.

In the UK he was invited by Mala to play at the now legendary DMZ night. He became the first artist to play a live show at the event, showcasing his own take on the sound pioneered by so many of the DJs and producers who have appeared on the bill in the past. His eclectic and varied live show received an exceptional reception from the crowd, showing how far his sound had travelled since he started more than ten years ago.

Goth-Trad has spent an equal amount of time developing and refining his sound in the studio as he has live on stage. Making him much more than just a producer who plays DJ sets. His live shows involve a laptop, portable mixing desk and effects units which he uses to recreate his music on stage: tweaking, effecting and evolving the sound in front of the audience. His sets are energetic and mesmerising, always leaving the crowd wanting more. And never twice sounding the same.

Local support
L-Que (N.Z), Hooves, Shikung, Kamo, AC23 and Flippo

FOREIGN BEGGARS(UK) AUSTRALIAN TOUR 2008
Baddums & Grindin are proud to present one of the UKs most dynamic and eclectic hip-hop crews, The Foreign Beggars. Best known in Oz for their landmark debut album 'Asylum Speakers', the Beggars have been highly active since laying their foundations, collaborating with underground heavyweights Oh-No, Dudley Perkins, Taskforce, Skinnyman, Dabrye and pop aritsts such as Bjork and Gorillaz to name only a few. Now with two albums under their belt plus numerous collabs and mixtapes in their discography, Foreign Beggars are preparing to smash Australia for the very first time bringing their grimey, no-holds-barred UK sound. Renowned for an explosive live show, MCs Metropolis, Orifice Vulgatron and DJ No-Names guarantee a fiery, high-energy hip-hop experience with that unique Foreign Beggars steez. Their Australian release, 'Asylum Agenda', a 'best of' compilation is out now on Grindin, showcasing highlights of their career to date. So if you're new to the Beggars, cop that one in ya grill and get educated. Foreign Beggars baby, get ready!

Tickets $25+BF available from

Northside Records (Fitzroy)
Obese Records (Prahran)
This Is It (Richmond)
Wax Museum (City)

Plus you can also by them at The Laundry and online at Moshtix.Com.Au

deviant this might be the most fun hip hop gig of the year... the support acts are top notch for melbourne, very fun and impressive to watch - mata and must in particular - and foreign beggars are a terrific world class act. Hopefully they will play older stuff. Complemented by the regular assorted of dubstep and dnb you're familiar with... and goth trad.

thanks to Same'O for maintaining the Beggars theme in the thread

i'm psyched... should cap off a great weekend. I've sent them the Foreign Beggars tracks that have received the best response over the 4-5 years I've played their shit, I hope they play a few of them

Hold on
Getaway
Frosted Perspekts
In it for a minute
On A Winters Day
What goes up

if you want a fun mixed album, check out their Bukkake Ski Trip, there are some heavy tracks on there and it has a good flow.
