BIO

Calyx and Teebee need no introduction to the world of drum n bass, they have been crafting their sound since the mid 90’s and truly pioneered their way through over a decade of tech fuelled drum beats and basslines. In 2007 they joined forces to form Momentum music and kicked off the label with a massive album and are already workin on the 2nd project soon to be released later in 2008.
Calyx and Teebee have been smashing up dance floors allover the globe for years, whether it be a solo set or rinsing it back to back the pair have truly earnt their status on the A-list of Drum N Bass.Lately, have been pushing for more of their back to back sets to feature 6 decks and 2 mixers, with both DJ’s in action simultaneously. They first performed with this setup at a legendary event in Moscow, since then have made a further 14 performances on 6 to 8 decks and 2 mixers due to the huge success of this newfound way of presenting their DnB. With each gig they have discovered more permutations, possibilities and ideas whilst developing an understanding that generates both spontaneous and choreographed moments. Calyx and TeeBee find it by far the most exciting and expressive way they have ever performed together and rest assured you will never have heard or seen anything like it! i'm really interested as to how a 'new' 6 decks/2 mixers show is gonna prevail over a more minimal (4 decks/2 mixer) b2b setup.. it would have to be heavily rehearsed!! will there be time for improvisation or mistakes? be interesting to see, can't wait! best venue in melbourne too tbh, best sound! roxannes ftw!!!!!!

heheh awesome.. this forum is always good for such response!

what i was suggesting is that small human errors make a dj set more interesting in my opinion.. sure a nightlife cd on your taiwan hi-fi system is not the ideal aural experience nor is 'fucking up the next mix', obviously my comment was intended in jest...

i'm looking forward to this show more than all of you ! heh
