went to the beach got water stuck in my ear woke up today?

so i got some water stuck in my ear at the beach, never happened befor, my flatmate was saying to tilt my head and tap it out... that hurt a bit and felt stupid, now i have woken up and my ear hurts. im off to see the doc... this sucks

Ear infections are bollocks.

I tend to get them like every couple of months. Main culprit is water getting stuck in ur ear hole.

yeh dude is easy to get the water out

just tilt your head to the side and jump up and down on one leg. looks ridiculous but gets the job done.

btw how can you not know of this technique, I thought it was a basic instinctual human thingy.

My method... easiest performed when coming out of the water... smack that ear in the water, as in a sidewards headbang, and the water usually comes out first time.

I guess you could try the same in a sink, bucket or bath.

I am not sure if anyone has said this yet, but usually it is best when you get out of the water to shake your head on the side the water is trapped. This works.

I've always found heating up Milo in the microwave works beter than instant coffee. Also improves electric guitar playing prowess when travelling back in time, although I would prefer some beat mixing skills so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. Earplugs optional unless swimming in dodgy water.

just lay on your side for a bit, and it will dislodge. no need to go to the doctors, but if you do, ask them to use the ear vacuum cos its well fun.

Total pain in the arse. Used to just lie on a hot water bottle.

You really just need some 'Aqua Ear'.

That clears up "swimmers ear". It's available from most pharmacies I think, you just drop droplets into your ear... can't remember how long it takes to clear up though.
