I like pants off.
He's climbing in your windows, he's snatching your people up.

pre-planned pants down party can't be anywhere near as fun as the impromptu ones.mrj wrote:I like pants off.

I've read the stories and seen the video clips from the ones in the US - looked awesome... What went wrong? I might've been keen but only just got back from Lorne

Was a great day. As I wrote on Facebook:
Well done everyone and thanks for making Melbourne's first No Pants Train Ride a big success! With no trains missed and no interference from The Man, the group comfortably journeyed from station to station, turning plenty of heads and getting a good share of confused looks and embarrassed laughs.
Personal highlights for me were:
- the first train starting to move for one second and stopping again, leaving a few folks caught reaching for their belts.
- the casual manner we continued in once the pants were finally off.
- sean: "do you have the sports section?"
- spruiking to sell the extra pair of pants i was just going to throw out. glad i brought them along, even though no one bought them in the end.
- the young crew who saw us on the Sandringham between Southern Cross and Flinders St. A glance at a couple of the guys first provoked a "nice shorts mate". As more pantless travellers gradually passed them by, all they could say between laughs was "what the f%$* is going on?"
Apologies to those who missed us, we'll have better strategies in place next time. We gathered by the Metro wall (yeah go on, laugh) and handed out our journey planner, waiting to make sure we had as many as we could muster before finally setting off at 4:48. This was definitely the part of the day that most needed improvement.
Still, the turnout was very pleasing and the ride was great fun. For those who want more, look up Improv Everywhere Melbourne for news on flashmob activity. On behalf of myself and Sea, thanks for travelling with us on Sans Pants Railways.
