Just the check up is gonna set ya back I can tell you that much. Get private health, Medibank gives you 2 free check ups each year and can waive the waiting period on general dental so things like fillings check ups etc etc.witty_pseudonym wrote:i need to go to the dentist before i go.

that and i don't know where to go.
Def get a quote first if any fillings are needed and let me know i can prob work out a rough price on the filling using item numbers from the quote. i work for medibank did it for my sister ended up signing her up onto extra's so she could go get her fillings done, original quote was around $1,400 for medibank members for the item numbers she gave me it was $977 and once she got her rebate it was gonna end up costing her around $402 out of pocket she needed like 9 fillings though.
Oh yeah as for going grey I've been going grey since i was about 17 it sux arse.

Re: Gripe thread
sort of. i'll go to a dentist for maybe 3 years and they'll either close the business on me (last two have done that) or piss me off and i'll leave. have only had three diffrent ones in the last 8 years i reckon. i've just got weak teeth with low fluoride in my system. I actually dont need any other fillings at the moment just this other bloody thing. yep have had a bad run in life with teeth but hey it could be worse.aroes wrote:Fark Fents you've had a horrendous run of it with your teethFents wrote:

Out of interest, have you been going back to the same dentist every time? Think I mentioned it on here once before but my longtime family dentist was adamant that my wisdoms COULD NOT be taken out under local, and that I'd need to pay big bucks for hospital bed/anaesthetist/procedure etc etc.......Went to another bloke and he pulled them out in the chair for a fraction of the price

That sucks, they should have at least given you some panadeine forte. When I came home from the first ankle op a few months back they gave me forte, tramadol and endone. Go to the doctors and ask for a script pronto.aroes wrote:funny you should ask......they told me to take paracetamol

Re the paracetamol, take it every 4 hours, it works best when it builds up in your system. Good luck
Free to those that can afford it, very expensive to those that can't.
Re: Gripe thread
Yeah the bad part's long over now, just stuck at home atm waiting to get the stitches cut out
Thankfully I had some panadeine forte left from when I had my teeth extracted last year
The pain was really bad for a couple of days, woulda been nice to have something to deal with it properly.......ah well, if I ever get shot in the foot I know I'll be able to deal

Re: Gripe thread
So I managed to snap the key to my new houses garage off IN THE LOCK!!
Step 1: Put key in lock
Step 2: Turn key to unlock roller door
Step 3: Take key out of roller door (apparently this is the most important part and the part I forgot to do)
Step 4: Open roller door
Now if step 4 happens without step 3 happening, the roller door goes up and the key goes SNAP!! Thereafter you are left with an open garage unable to lock.....

GOTD, but actually GOTW
Justin fucking Bieber
dancing foetus with floppy hair
Justin Bieber will become synonymous with the word fever to the extent that in 30 years from now, the adolescent fans who have grown up and had their own children will treat their maloderous offspring's devotion to vacuous, talentless idols as an ailment. I.E. "poor love's got a Justin Bieber, she's running a temperature of 103!"
