see now that is your first problem, chemists deal in drugs not photography.
secondly, did they take it from your left side? cos that's your best side. Your right side tends to do weird things to cameras and to the photos, a bit like The Ring

Are they really all viable options? I get this a bit too, coz I really don't have any responsibilities at all and am applying for jobs all over the world (except fucken Melbs. Why no jobs??) If I'm honest with myself, though, the likelihood of anything coming through, let alone being spoilt for choice is fairly slim. Potential vs. actual can be a very cruel ratio.witty_pseudonym wrote:i've never been so confused about what to do.

My strategy: Apply for everything, decide once the offers are there. (Sweep the minor matter of crushing disappointment from all the rejections under the carpet.)

determine what factors influence your decision.
rank them in order of importance.
then rate each option against each one using a numbering system (like 1-3 for example, 1 being lowest 3 being highest).
Then its a simple matter of highest score wins.

lol @ matrixes. They are the bain of my existence tbh. Potentially useful in this situation praps. Thanks Mr HR.
I think both are viable, and both have huge benefits for different reasons. Really should just get all applications in before the deadline, cos it's a fine line between strifeful crimes and a life of crime. Or something like that. *cough*
I think the biggest con, which almost outweighs all the pros of one option, is the whole moving to Canberra part. Having said that, leaving Melbourne was part of the pro...but that's now being revised. Time to just thinking about it and wait for an answer to come to me.

A wise mathematician once said to me "you can only turn down a job offer you actually have." Put everything out there, see what comes back. Otherwise, you'll waste a huge amount of energy lamenting 'I could have been an amazing flying bearded lady, but I thought it better not to apply.' Everything will have its low points - best to know you really did give yourself a shot at everything.
But yeah, the waiting is absolutely shithouse. Possibly even worse than when the rejections come in. Unfortunately, this has been the story of my life the past three years (job market every year.) Aaaaaand, here we go again...
Once it's all out there, ain't nothing you can do though, so might as well relax
Totally easier said than done!!! But do try it
PS. matrices pl.

Haha, that was my upbeat pep talk! In my experience, it's better to prepare nothing at all. Just leave it as a big blank space. It's when you make plans assuming anything (even failure) that you get fucked proper. Jeebus Christ I found this stressful first time 'round, though... My motto became (and still is): 'Something will happen.' Serial, you won't be in decision-making land foreverwitty_pseudonym wrote:i knew matrixes didn't sound right. thank you for the sage advice and grammar corrections lady. oklahoma and canberra are probably relatively on par in many respects. well maybe not quite. 100% with you...maybe not so much on the preparing for failure part though.

July- massive bike stack resulting in whiplash/bruised ribs/hammered spleen and more brokeness
November- massive bike stack pt2 resulting in broken arm and more money woes
Monday night just gone- massive bike stack pt3, broken ankle, bankrupt
