Steve Law AKA Zen Paradox live

Steve Law began experimenting with music making at the age of 15 in 1982, after discovering and becoming fascinated by electronic music. He began to record a series of cassettes, using whatever limited resources were available. The equipment for the early recordings consisted of nothing more than 2 ghetto blasters, a short-wave radio, kitchen utensils, a home-made percussion kit and various other sound-producing objects. In 1983 he obtained his first synthesizer (a Realistic/Moog MG-1 which he still uses today), and quickly learnt the basics of analog synthesis. By 1985 Steve was regularly renting electronic studio equipment, and spent many a sleepless weekend obsessively recording before having to return the equipment on Monday. After many such weekends, Steve's knowledge and recording techniques really began to develop. It's been a very gradual journey since those early days, but over the years Steve Law has developed a reputation as one of the leading exponents of electronic music in Australia, and since the early 1990's that reputation has spread beyond Australia's shores via his successful Zen Paradox project. Today Steve reserves his more personal and eclectic work for release under his own name, as well as his more avant-garde electronic compositions.

NASTY GENIUS live

Nasty Genius is sounding all the way from New Zealand and has quickly risen to the forefront of drum & bass and dubstep production. With a ground breaking catalogue featured on many independent labels such as Ammunition and Dangerous New Age, Nasty Genius has now decided to exceed forward and become part of the newly emerging and exciting Move Music.

CAT GRRL (dj set)

Cat Grrl has been producing and Djing since 2005. You will find Cat Grrl leftfield of most Booty, Drum & Bass, Hardcore and Breakcore. Cat Grrl‘s sets consist of bass driven tongue in cheek music heavily influenced by bogan culture, old soaps and trashy porn with themes of sexuality and gender.

Paul Heslin (live AV)

Paul Heslin was raised in the capital city of Australia in a dark well
of hyper-christian homeschooling, before peeling the layers off and beginning to grapple with the world of electronic sound.

In 2008, after completing a university degree in digital sound and
composition, he vanished overseas to England and France for an
extensive period of musical development, returning to Australia in
late 2010 with a spiky melange of facial hair and the trans-formative rubbernecker ep.

Solely constructed from the sounds of his Parisian apartment and his own voice, rubbernecker demonstrates Paul's extraordinary facility with Max-MSP and digital controllers; and performed live using a synchronised television array, it captures the unearthly beauty of late-night paranoia rocking back and forth alone in the dark.

Broken pixel

As computers and technology pervade every aspect of our lives we are presented with the oppurtunity to create new types of art to explore the expanding frontier of life in the digital age. Jaysons creations aim to blur the distinction between artist, viewer and art piece by utilising cutting edge technology, mind bending illusions, gadets and a wild imagination to create unique immersive interactive experiences.
Drawing heavily from Glitch, lofi and minimal artforms as well as a nostalgia for the 8 bit era of computer graphics the visual representation of these works is heavily influenced by the programming techniques used to create them.
