dnb just doesn't do it for me like it used to......will always love my jungle and classic stuff but every time i hear a mix of new tunes it bores me to tears

Sad, but largely true. Mind you - I still dig (and buy) some new dnb, but generally not this "flavour of the month" autonomic/minimal/deep (aka not much there) stuff. Just not for me.

Last decent mixes I dug were the Bukem Fabric Live mix from Total Radio (very different mix from the man), and a Total Science mix from a few months back.

oh there is a lot there... just deceptively hidden to create the minimal sound, probably as many layers as a lot of other dnb

i like minimal techno as well so it makes sense that i love this sound... combining my 2 loves...

Once you get past the first half hour of technical/rustiness issues the next 40 minutes are fantastic.

I'm with Quick in terms of enjoying the influences from techno/minimalism. A lot of dnb sounds way too dense and chaotic for my ears. On the other I hand, I appreciate the autonomic sound but sometimes find it lacks the spine to give it the sense of forward momentum that I really love about dnb.

These tunes and the way they are presented really brings all of this together. There's also elements of synth work from the whole garage/two-step/funky arena that really add something.

I dig it. Made the ride to work this morning a breeze.

tbh i don't think this mix really contains much minimalism

to me for the most part it just sounds like good deep dancefloor dnb

guess i'm just over it.....if you'd told me two years ago i'd be saying that i'd have laughed at you but i spose my tastes have changed........i used to be the biggest drum and bass nut i know

dnb definitely isn't dead, on the contrary i thought most of the music in this mix sounded quite intelligent

it just doesn't move me anymore

I agree, I don't think this music is particularly minimal or autonomic at all!

I went through a stage of being really over dnb recently, but i'm coming back to it! Seeing Marky play recently has reinvigorated my love.

I'm referring to minimalism in terms of a sense of space as opposed to minimal elements being involved in the track. Poor choice of words perhaps.

Anyway, it's all semantics. I really enjoyed this.

tbh, i haven't even listened to this mix yet, lolz... but i didn't think it would be autonimic sounds... but it is a more spacious sounding style of dnb which i love... and hearing sounds like this, like alix perez, like instra:mental... all 3 of which are different, are all future progressions of dnb with a more minimalistic approach to the production... love it

Not sure what you guys think the Autonomic sound is about, but this def aint it....
perhaps if you listen to one of the podcasts you would understand (www.club-autonomic.com)
nor would I say anything about this mix is minimal...sounds like quality drum and bass as per usual with Soul:ution

same... but i do know the soul:ution radio sound... the first wow was at peeps not liking it...

in these mixes, marcus does flirt with the minimal sound quite a bit... just not as extreme as some of the autonomic stuff... if u listen to minimal tech, its not all blips and squeaks, there are levels of minimalism...
