DIRTYPHONICS LIVE [AUDIOPORN, FRA]

Innovating in several styles of electronic music and bringing a live PA recognized as one of the most energetic and creative to be seen, Dirtyphonics is now a worldwide phenomenon that you cannot ignore.
With an incredible production level, a unique way to mix and blend different genres (electro, drum and bass, dubstep, hip hop) and a best newcomers producers award under their belt, Dirtyphonics is with no doubt one of the most exciting bands in todays electronic scene.

Over a very short period of time, Dirtyphonics tracks are played by the worlds famous DJs of the electronic music scene: Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Andy C, Chase & Status, Pendulum, Vicarious Bliss, Marky, Dj Hype, Kissy Sell Out, Annie Nightingale.

All at the same time, the band keeps to intensively tour the world from trendy clubs to huge festivals, and in the summer 2010, moved to Los Angeles for their acclaimed French Do It Better tour around the USA and Canada.
During this tour, the band starts writing its long await- ed debut album while working on a string of remixes such as Shockones Polygon , the Bloody Beetroots famous Warp 1977, Neros Me and you , Benny Benassis E-man

CULTURE SHOCK [RAM RECORDS, UK]

James' first release happened thanks to a hook up with Dom Angus (Dom & Roland) though their parents who are friends and colleagues. The result was the 2004 'Vega EP' on Moving Shadow. It was well received but unfortunately the seminal label stopped releasing music and it was another two years before James found another home with the legendary Ram Records.

Impressed by the production skills displayed on the Vega EP, Andy C followed the progress of the young producer and ended up signing him to his label, with the first track 'The Bypass' one of Optical's favourite tunes - appearing on 2006's Dimension EP and getting tongues wagging on the scene.
With signing Culture shock to its prestigious stable, Ram are nurturing yet another talent destined to expend the boundaries of the scene.

THE QEMISTS [NINJA TUNE, UK]

The Qemists are, in many ways, something of a Qonundrum. Theyre rock fans seduced by the dancefloor, dance fans equally happy playing live instruments or building tracks on the computer, Drum & Bass aficionados who believe their hurtling breakbeats sound best under muscular metallic riffs.
Their debut album, 2009s Join The Q, balanced Junglist-Metal monsters like Stompbox and S.W.A.G., with wall-shaking Dancehall boomers like Dem Na Like Me, with a diverse guest-list including ex-Faith No More frontman Mike Patton, Grime legend Wiley and Drum & Bass chanteuse Jenna G.

ATTENTION ALL!! As a result of misconduct by the original venue management which unfortunately is unresolvable, we have had to move the party to another location.

Luckily this change is better for everyone as the new venue is easier to get to (2 mins from Southern Cross Station), drinks will be cheaper and the new club has a better vibe to boot.

Be warned though our limit on numbers is now a lot less so this WILL sell out!! If you haven’t secured your place yet, be sure to jump online and get your tickets!

Again we must stress due to a lower venue capacity this will sell out! This is going to be a party you won’t want to miss.

this was really good fun!

on a side note I thought the security and staff at Geddes Lounge were awesome. my wife lost her handbag and was freaking out and they were really helpful and even though we didn't find it straight away they rang us when it turned up and made sure we got it back with everything in it. impressed.
