Hey doods, just thought I'd say hi.

I'm (obviously) new to the forum, but been kicking around the scene for a few years. I'm starting to organise some parties around town too, on the techno/dubstep/bass music vibe (think Hotflush/Skull Disco/Hessle Audio etc type bass stuff, CLR/Stroboscopic/Sandwell District etc techno), also doing some promo work for the All City Bass nights.

Go easy, it's my first time

Hello Melbourne, I'm making my way over to you from NZ in a month and definitely can't wait. You look and sound amazing.

I'm gunna to be looking for audio work and trying out my dj powers in a new city so if anyone can point me in the direction of friendly promoters, crews, nights, radio stations, audio jobs (live sound, post-production, bitch who'll do pretty much do anything for very little) that would be rad!

I don't have much for you except an oldish mix I did last year, new one coming soon. Peace!

Hey All,

Im new, the names Brendan, people call me Grub, i produce under the name Leon1das. (My surname, with a 1 instead of an I. I know.. genius)

Technichaly dont live in Melbourne, lived there for the first 22 years of my life, was a full blown metal head, played guitar for about 12 years now and drums for about 5, then i moved to London, got into electronic music, didnt have a guitar so started playin round on the computer, bought myself a MIDI controller mixer and tought myself how to mix. Ive been mixin it up at partys of friends and associates around London for the last year or so. Its all been pretty light hearted, basicaly would film my housemates at there absolute worst (like 10:00am on a sunday, talking absolute nonsense) and then chop up the audio and make it into a track. Made an EP called 'Livin at The Barn' (The Barn being the house i used to live at in London with 20 other Aussies and Kiwis). Its all been a bit of a laugh but i want to start takin it a bit more seriously now. Im currently in Auckland, i fly back to Melbourne tomorrow so i stumbled accross this forum and thought it may be a good place to start. Can find some tracks on my soundcloud page http://www.soundcloud.com/g-rub have a listen and whatnot.

Hello melbournites!
Im relatively new on the scene, moving to Melbourne from Adelaide about 3 months ago. Been producing electronica for the last 10 years and performing for 5. Looking for more gig opportunities here in Melbourne, my performances are largely improvised around my electribes and kaoss pads ranging from more atmospheric dubby electronica through to acidic techno and psy to skull fucking hard industrial techno, hardcore and breakcore.

Anyway ill let my music do the talking and look forward to meeting fellow beat makers and checking out more gigs!

Hi all, the name's Simon. I make various kinds of electronic music and play synth for Zero Flag - we're kind of like Portishead, except noisier.

I play my cheesier 80s chip style MC303 stuff under the name ExtraSupa and my darker, crazier stuff under the name Batlike Creature.

Actually the first gig under that name was a failed attempt at live breakcore, but that's another story....

So, yeah, hi!

Hey all!

Name's subfect, producer from Sydney. Didn't realize there was such a kickass forum for down-southers :)

I produce namely dubstep (deep/dungeon), but also moving into minimal dnb territory and glitch hop as well (again, more on the minimal side), only because dubstep beats are starting to bore me. If you're interested, soundcloud is at: http://www.soundcloud.com/subfect
