KATALYST (SYD)

We’re thrilled to announce one of Australia’s finest producers dropping a DJ set this fine evening. A multiple ARIA nominee and DMA award winner, Katalyst has worked with Portishead, J-Live, Stephanie McKay, Steve Spacek, Supernatural, Diverse, Katie Noonan, Mat McHugh (The Beautiful Girls), Adalita (Magic Dirt), Ru C.L, Hau (Koolism), Bootie Brown (Pharcyde), Quaker, Stones Throw and many more. This will be a set to remember.

NOOKY (SYD)

Nooky’s Yuin tribal roots are embedded deep in his music. His stories reflect the struggle of warriors trapped behind enemy lines fighting just to be heard. He can be confronting and thought provoking whilst striking the balance between an in your face message and authentic Hip Hop.

LADY ERICA (Spoken word + DJ set)

The first lady of garage, Erica has been spinning vinyl since the late 90s, holding down numerous radio shows and residencies across Melbourne. In addition to her full time position managing the fundraising wing at Prahran Mission, Erica is an accomplished playwright and published author, releasing her book on understated indigenous contributions to World War II: Under One Flag.Erica will recite spoken word and grace us with a short DJ set as well.

RU C.L

Ru C.L aka Rueben Campbell is one of the most dynamic artists to emerge from the Hip Hop / Dancehall and Reggae scenes. A “Jahstralian” (Jamaican/Australian heritage) based in Melbourne, Ru C.L is an explosive entertainer with world wide appeal. Also a percussionist, Ru’s diverse musical upbringing translates to explosive live sets and infectious energy.

1/6

Born in Australia but raised in Namibia, One Sixth (AKA Aaron Stephanus) is an African-Australian in the truest sense. Schooled in Africa until the ripe age of 18, 1/6 returned to his country of birth to experience a new life in Melbourne. Boasting regular appearances on stages both big and small with respected groups such as Illzilla, Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, The Mega Horns, Polo Club, Black Jesus and his crew Pang Productions; 1/6 has become a seasoned performer since returning to his second home.

ERNEST DUBIOUS

Luke a.k.a . Ernest Dubious is an old school hip hop head with an extensive record collection spanning the complete breadth of the world of hip hop and dancehall. He’ll be dropping some soulful, funky classics with some fresh beats and makes a perfect transition into the business end of the night.

DANNY SILVER

With residencies and radio appearances across Melbourne the past few years, Danny Silver has come into his own as a stellar purveyor of chilled out, sexy beats. He’ll warm the night up as people arrive, bringing everything from ambient bass, hip hop mash ups, chilled out house and more.
