re your earlier pet loving conversations... any of you from Sydney?

Sydney man loves rabbits to death
An Australian man has been arrested after having sex with 18 rabbits. Sydney police have  charged Brendan McMahon, 36, with bestiality  and aggravated cruelty, after finding a pile of sodomised rabbit corpses dumped in a lane in The Rocks.

In his defence, McMahon claimed that he had sex  with the rabbits while high on crystal meth. His lawyer unsuccessfully applied for bail,  stating that McMahon was willing to surrender  his passport and would undertake not to go within 50 metres of a pet shop.

I've been holed up for 2 weeks in a hick town with 2 nightclubs...One that plays country and the other plays western. I got thrown out of the first one my first night for tipping vodka on the owner... So i've spent the nighs playing with a couple new toys that i'm gonna bring out to play at gimme.

Another top party guys! 3D visuals were fantastic, big ups to the Lucid Crew! Great sets from all DJ's, shame about the technical difficulties at the start of your set Ferris, but looking forward to your routine when you next stand up to the decks!

I just wanted to say a couple of things about my night on Saturday as a hard nosed chinstroker from way back...

It had taken me far too long to get my arse down to Gimme a Break, and from the moment I saw the friendly faces at the door, I knew I was in for a good night....

In the past I have been pretty disappointed about the quality of our local breaks, hip hop and d&b dj's, usually only going out to internationals, which in the past I always found just stood out so much more....

I have been out to a variety of gigs in the last 2 weeks, ranging from hip-hop (One Self), breaks (Gimme a Break) and d&b (diesleboy), and the one thing that stood out more than anything else in my eyes was the absolute freaken high standard of the locals...

My hats are off to all you guys and girls, the skills and tracks I have been subjected to in the last few weeks by all these varying dj's have been fucking unbelievable...

What can I say about the visuals created by Lucid on Saturday, fucking out of this world guys, was so very keen to check it out every since I heard of the 3d conception and you didn't disappoint, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, you took me back 5-10 years ago when the visual component of a night was equally important as the tracks played.... WERD

And, last but not least, to all the dj's that played on Saturday night, my hat is off to you and you have reaffirmed my faith in the quality of music in Melbourne...

Thanks again, I won't be missing the next one...

BOH MOTHERFUCKER :D :D :D

Nice work MK, was a pleasure seeing you out and about with the usual breaks suspects... 8)

Had a ball as usual, for me Gimme is all about the atmosphere - great tunes, good people and random shenanigans. Hats of to everyone for the usual standards of quality and further hats of to the usual shonks for the giggles and all-round stupidity. Was great to see the progression of the visuals, the passion of the Lucid boys really shines through.

Big ups the morning after crew, that was some seriously sideways action! Think we sent out the old Gimme After Party HQ with a bang...

Thanx heaps dudes, much appreciated.
Good seeing you MK!! You need to get out more often.
Awesome having a laugh with everyone after the gig too. Was that some funny shit, or what? Haven't laughed like that in a while. :smt005
Had a wicked time as always, and really enjoyed myself for once, and wasn't completely stressed out at this gig. :D
Heaps of fun playing to that crowd too.

Good to see everyone there, and a special mention go's to the Lucid boys - officialy Gimme residents, and the most hard working and dedicated pair of dudes I've come accross in the industry.
They have their musical/artistic ethics in the right place, and want to push originality in their artform as much as we want to in ours.
Absolute pleasure working with you every month guys.

Big ups to Deviant for playing his first 'real' gig. He did a great job.
Love seeing a talented newbie get a shot at things purely due to playing ability, and not that he sucked our asses. More of that I say! :P

Guyno, Ferris and Shifty kicked some serious ass too - very impressive. :D
Extra props to Guyno for playing his set with a busted right hand in plaster.
And extra-extra props to Ferris for recovering splendidly from his technical hiccup at the start of his set. :D

Something original and different every month, newest sounds, wicked players, wicked visuals. So good to be part of a 'totaly in it for the music' dedicated, and talented party/crew like this. Wicked job each and all!

I'm going back to bed, went hard on 'Uncle Sid' last night with the Lucid boys after we set up the 5 by 3 meter mega-screen in James shed, played playstation on it for hours, then had my mind blown in a whole new way by those crazy bastards on their visuals machines. I don't know if I'll ever be the same again? Didn't get home until 4am Monday morning, and I didn't sleep a wink.

Next months party won't be on the first Saturday of the month, but on the second Saturday. We are doing a combined Sunny/Gimme party, and it should be absolutely insane!! Don't miss out.
See you all soon! 8)
