mad website too, always refer people to that site. Some mad interviews and pieces on artists that would normally remain in the shadows.
Re: Street Art
The sissor one is funny and the top one as sometimes minimal-ish is enough. (and I find alot of things funny, like one legged sea galls).ADD_Boy wrote:

huh
maybe I oughta post this in a new thread, but...is a guy called Merda still acitve on the Melbourne Grafitti trails? I used to travel the Sandringham Line quite heavily and he used to have pieces all over Lower Toorak and Prahran. There used to be this Hairshop that had two of his pieces...and there used to be these t-shirts doing the rounds by him and his mates....again this is ten year old stuff and a lot has changed since (just look at the ugly state of Prahran these days)...

merda is still kicking but mostly doing graphic design these days... this morning i had the privelage of rolling past two absolut vodka ads at tram stops, one by phibsy, one by merda.. made my day.. good to see deserving dudes (hopefully) getting paid

And i'll be getting all 3 of the posters in 2 weeks time when we pull them all down.
I'm not the greatest fan of the phibs or dmote ones to be honest. phibsy has gone for the tribal/aztecy motif thing he loves while dmotes gone for a zebra-style print.
the murda one, however:
we put up all the ones at the federation square/flinders st tram stop.

Prahran pieces were there for years, loved 'em.dice wrote:maybe I oughta post this in a new thread, but...is a guy called Merda still acitve on the Melbourne Grafitti trails? And what was the name of that other famous line: Ashway? I remember staying at the Terminus there for a couple of weeks...nicely tree lined area and cheap as fuck pizza's
It had some wicked grafitti up to Camberwell Xchange...if memory is serving me correct of course!
Oh I loves me some street art...Has Banksy ever done an Australian tour? www.banksy.co.uk ... some more classic stuff!
