SES warns of strong winds today - staff encouraged to leave early
In the interest of staff safety due to a commuter warning released today by the Victorian State Emergency Service (SES), the City of Melbourne encourages all work areas to release staff early from work today where possible, and giving consideration to operating and service requirements.
The SES recommends:
- Tram commuters should consider leaving the city immediately.
- Train commuters should consider leaving the city from 3pm.
Staff should advise their supervisor before leaving the office.

hey Weather, from now on, you are to blame!
Lashing Tendrils...
A cool hush descends over the trees
changing thier lush vibrancy to a hollowed winter shell.
Leaves whispering and jostling for the highest place in the clouds.
Golden sunlight and spongy brown earth take on darker
dimensions
shadows lurk ominously out of reach.
The storm that is brewing is calming to me.
For once I do not want to be in control.
I want to run naked in the woods and the pouring rain
stumbling over twigs and rocks breaking branches in my path.
With wild eyes and pure adrenalin my drug
arms outstretched fingers aching to meet with lightning
with the purest energy.
I hope to throw away everything that binds
and become a victim of these heavens.
No passion or fury in a human matches that of the elements in full force
ripping and pulling at the seams of this earth.
I want to laugh like a being possessed
flail my arms while I spin around
mud churning up from the ground beneath.
I want to rub myself with dirt
feel nature within me as I gobble stones and leaves like a
rabid animal.
I want to throw way conditioning
become a crazed creature of the night.
And when the storm passes
I will smile calmly and blame it all on the weather..

Easiest troll known to man on the Herald Sun comments section, especially on anything to do with weather, you just have to mention Global warming, not even say anything else and people are up in arms in for either 'team'.
Hilarious but annoying at the same time.
Seriously though, it's not like snow on the mountains in May is uncommon.

Ahhhh Daniel (Comment 12)...are you dressed in your Shamen robes as you chant & preach your green religion to the masses ? Not many people are listening anymore, as "catastrophic climate change" is being exposed as nothing more than a money making grab. Your shrill cries of impending doom are falling on deaf ears matey. Relax, enjoy the NATURAL changes in the weather, have a VB and settle down to watch Oprah you dill.
oh dear. id rather be with the ShamAn's on this one tbh.

Carbon Tax.
CO2 is a heat-trapping greenhouse gas (GHG) [9][10] The scientific consensus is that human-induced greenhouse gas emissions are the primary cause of global warming,[11] and that carbon dioxide is the most important of these gases.[
