Gripe thread
Re: Gripe thread
of course like i said, i have no legal quals and have no idea what i'm talking about, so prob best not to rely on the incompetent rantings of a slack jawed yokel.

Re: Gripe thread
nice one Fents, email me and i can chat about your rights and who you are specifically dealing with at the bank. i am curious about the particular area you are actually dealing with, it sounds like the first stop in a chain of people who could be handling it.
a few things on this (that i can say) is that yes a bank can actually retrieve funds if it is in their error. If the person spent the money, then they can proceed with legal action (in-house lawyers usually handle this stuff) against the person to make them pay the money back (this can even be the most smallest amount e.g in one instance they took the person's home i.e. made them mortgage it to pay back the amount, the amount was less than a 1k). However, if the person didn't notice the money, the bank can take the money out without even giving you any notice i.e. they have no obligation to do this whatsoever. Although, these days banks are leading towards 'good faith' and will write you a letter detailing what occurred.
lol Blaxter - you are right that they need your consent, but as above, banks can credit and debit accounts where errors occur etc.

Re: Gripe thread
mixxy - if they overpaid you or claim you put in leave they would have to show the paper trail to prove it. a business without this trying to stand up in Court would be very very laughable.
it would never make it to Court anyways. i could almost guarantee it

You like?
funny as story for you - mate of mine gets home late one night, has had a few beers, decides that some relief is required.
grabs bottle of liquid from bathroom and completes task.
He goes to work the next day and his collague's ask - why are your hands all orange and splotchy buddy?
HELLO FAKE TAN!!!!

Behind our property over the creek they're building a 127 bed aged care facility, and the noises are getting fucking annoying. There's trucks reversing ALL THE FUCKING TIME! And for long periods of time, backing up the massive driveway. I'm not a patient person at the best of times but having to listen to this incessant beeping is pushing me to red

I know that exact feeling. Same as my dad. Fuck family. Although I own a house with my brother so can't talkwitty_pseudonym wrote:god my dad shits me. really knows how to make me feel unwelcome and not part of his narrow little world.
thank fuck i only have to put up with being in his space for a week.
edit: and my laptop screen keeps flashing like it's about to shit itself.
My gripe is that people out there think that my workplace is an advocate for consumers! We're a mediator, that is we mediate INDE-GODDAMN-PENDENTLY. Why can people not get this through their heads? Then they turn it around and say we're defending the big corporates!
Our whole role is to give the little people a place to voice their complaints and make sure it's taken on board by our members to ensure that we reach fair and reasonable resolutions. Goddamnit! Then they don't listen...ugh...I seriously think that mental illness is a lot more prominent than I was lead to believe previously.
Allons-y!

Re: Gripe thread
my neck has been quite sore and stiff for about 5 days. its been a recurring injury for a while, original injury sustained at one of the Local Lineups when I tripped over and smacked my head on something - yes alcohol was involved
so finally decided to book to see osteopath and of course wake up today and as you can imgaine the pain is pretty much gone which of course will result in me looking like a complete idiot at the osteo.
such is life...or neck.....or whatever.
