Mate of mine has wrecked his screen on his HP laptop. Apparently he closed it with a lead still inside it and it squished into the screen. It just barely works if you pinch it together, but even then only half the screen is viewable, the rest being technicolour gibberish.

I'm assuming this can be fixed/replaced but I can't imagine it being cheap.

Oh dear laptop of mine, may you never suffer such a fate.

Can be replaced but will cost a bob or two. Might be cheaper to replace the whole thing.

well on thursday my bank card was stolen by a taxi driver and 500 dollars was taken out at highet anz... so now this leaves me with the cops telling me to chase up what time the transaction took place and 3 and a half hours wasted just today trying to get onto the dispute line when i just walked up the local branch and got told they can't find it out and the police should be doing it because it will be quicker.

failing miserably.

The bank can't tell you what time $500 was withdrawn from your account? Mega fail, poor, poor form on their behalf, considering they gave your money to someone who wasn't you.

Good luck

got my front tooth fixed about 2 months ago after whacking a fair bit off due to a collision with the bottom of the pool.

part of the fix came off last night whilst eating grilled cheese. ok i wasn't only eating grilled cheese (that would be weird) but the part of the thing i was eating was grilled cheese and there was this CRUNCH and a big chunk of the filling just came out. she said I would have to go easy on it but jeesus, grilled cheese? its not like I was trying to eat an apple or hard chocolate.

ON THE UPSIDE - Already had a dentist appointment booked for today THANK FUCK. so can get it fixed tonight. Alas it will cost money tho. Money I don't gots. Well I have it but wanted to spend it, yanno, on booze and hanging from the rafters. Regretting the clothes purchases on the weekend now.

ARGGGGGH. I hate teeth. lets all get em removed and we can move to a society where everyone drinks smoothies and youngins never have clumsy teeth clashes whilst learning to pash.

Contacted them on Friday as I had not hear anything, they claim they had issues getting through to my refs, gave them alternative numbers...

So still waiting on their damn phone call!

Lucky I did with this job I am waiting on because they claim they couldnt get through to me either to let me know they could not get through to my refs.

I am starting to think their recruitment department has an issue with using phones.......

I have lost fillings on 2 occassions. Once while eating a cobber (caramel in chocolate lolly, won't ever touch them again), and the second time while eating lasagne at Pellegrini's. One sticky food, one soft food. Go figure huh? These things stick and then send us off for a big bill :(

no its just that they are recruitment consultants, so yanno, really only one rung up from real estate agents (thus second from bottom).

I've heard doctors love real estate agents and recruitment consultants tho because they are so easy to work on in surgergy, cos they are heartless, spineless, gutless, and their heads and arses are interchangeable.

Ha ha ha ha. As lizkins said, add lawyers to that list. I would also add banking execs and marketing folk.

What a start to the day, Nearly got hit by a car (it stopped about a ruler length from my hip). Crossing the road at the lights with the little green man.

The rude cow who was driving had the nerve to go balistic at me.

I should have, was a bit too shocked just kept pointing to the green man and going "what are you doing?", "its green".
