Hmmm... Herald Sun has changed their tune to Terry's future being "up in the air" - with "conflicting stories coming out of Punt Rd".

Press conference at midday.

I reckon he's gone, one way or the other.

Herald Sun can get fucked with their sensational unfounded "journalism" IMO.

Whilst Terry Wallace and the RFC have been a major disappointment this year, nobody deserves the sort of bad press that he's received this year. Poor bloke and his family have copped negative rumour after rumour - none of which has helped the RFC either.

I'm sure it's helped sell some papers though.

Man, I so wanted Brad Johnson to kick that goal last night. Seems the beast that is Geelong does have some holes that can be exploited...Hawthorn knows how, Bulldogs do to. Who's going to finally beat them, hmmm? Both play them again, too.

Great game of footy.

I was soooo pissed off and despondent following the game. Speachless really.

Essendon play such an exciting brand of footy, the very same brand our boys should be playing. The Dons have an explosive, fast list - as the Tigers do, but for some reason we prefer the indirect, over-possessive and indecisive brand of football that leaves Tigers supporters in tears.

Terry's record at Tigerland is atrocious. I read in the paper yeserday that his Win-Loss record is something like 35-58. Almost double the amount of losses to wins. Completely unacceptable.

Whilst Terry has conducted himself like a professional with all the shit the media has thrown at him, the facts can't be ignored. Even if you point the fingers at the playing group, he's responsible for those players - he's drafted, traded and renewed contracts along with other members of the football department. Bring on 2010.

being in the AFL members area is pretty sweet, was two seats down from the Saints coach. Seems like a nice guy, and was funny watching him chat to other Saints people about players. I should have listened and got the inside scoop but i was too busy watching the game.

He was great in the first half, then feral in the second. I reckon 4 is too young. His exact quote:

"Dad, I'm bored."

Then again, so was I in the 4th quarter. I hate it when we play like that. Sure, we got the win...but that was like pulling teeth there at the end. We should have put the foot down, kept the ball flowing through the middle corridor and kicked to two of the best forwards in the league way more often. All this chip passing was boring the hell out of everybody.

Looking forward to next Sunday with 3 of our best returning...going to be tough in Adelaide though.

i thought the same thing, and everyone was boo'ing. I got home and my boy said they did it because there was no one to come on as everyone was tired, so they were slowing it down so Melbs couldn't get the ball and then they didn't have to run. I still think that is crap and completely mental that they had to do that, it was so fricken frustrating to watch.

:scr1pt:

At least we got a win out of it. Would have been even worse had it been another team doing it to us while we were down by almost 4 goals. Big ups Melbourne for playing a good game...

Just frustrating to watch it there, with my son wanting to run around cuz the game was so boring and nothing was happening.

Meh...

SCARE AT TIGERS HEADQUARTERS

Training at the Punt Road oval was delayed nearly two hours late this morning, after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the ground.

Initially the Club thought it was a prank!!

The Coach immediately suspended training, while police and ASIO were called to investigate.

After a complete analysis, Police forensic experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most of the players, was in fact, the goal line.

Practice was resumed this afternoon after Police & ASIO decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Go the Tigers - great game, thought were going to lose that one (again), stoked with the win!

And regarding the whole Ben Cousins finger thing - BIG FUCKING DEAL. Geez I wish the media would get a fucking life and focus on another club for just one week. It was 1hr before the game, in the privacy of the club rooms... there was no need for it to be shown, it wasn't even live coverage.

According to Cousins (on Nova this morning) - he has a friend who works the cameras for Ch.10. The finger was jokingly meant for him.

But seriously... who cares?

Just think of all the kids that saw that who look up to him, first his druggy ways, now this.
Pure insolence

:teef:

i reckon he was just doing it to get more media coverage on himself just like Paris does, the newspapers have been a little quiet on him of late, think he thought he need a bit more exposure to sell his doco, picture would make a good DVD cover tbh

I know you're taking the piss - but the "what would the kiddies think" argument carries some merit. BUT... I would think that with the censorship rating that the football receives (G), the network shouldn't show things that are to be considered offensive to the audience if it can be helped... meh.

Hmmm.... interesting. Whilst it's been speculated pretty much every week since Round 1, the time is nigh with Richmond consistently saying that nothing would happen till the mid-season review is conducted... and that's next week.

Well, thanks for the memories Terry. He coaches the RFC for the last time against the Doggies this Friday night.
