oh hai guys!!

report on the asus EEEpc 1000H >>>

i love it!!!
i got rid of windows immediately and am running linux mint...
it seems good so far, but im not used to all these random files getting left on my pooter when i browse for stuff etc...

the keypad is small but doesnt take that long to get used to, apart from a teeny shift key in the wrong place on the right that i keep hitting enter instead....
battery power is all good, seems to be 4 hours at least...

no matter what anyone says, mac is the most user friendly OS hands down...
but i like the fact that i can change stuff, and get tricks from all o you geeks now!

and everyone who sees it loves it too, boys with macs included.

soooo, highly reccomend to anyone wanting a netbook..and ill be popping in here with any issues, of course!

A few. Skate 2 came out today, Resident Evil 5, FEAR 2, Silent Hill, Halo Wars and Street Fighter 4 in feb. Heaps of rad games from late last year you may have missed though.

The murmurs first started around 6 months back, and then in December last year Tiesto seemed to let the cat out of the bag with an email to his fan database, but still there had been no official word from game developers Activision. Would the hotly anticipated DJ Hero title actually hit stores anytime soon?

Yes, it would seem, with Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick confirming in an interview with CNBC that the game will see the light of day later in 2009. “We have this product called DJ Hero coming out later this year, which is a turntable that you actually can play competitively and spin discs and mix songs,” he remarked.

There’s no release date slated just yet, although it’s reported that Tiesto has since squashed rumours that he was been involved with the game’s development.

What does everyone think?

Anyone ever play Beatmania on the ol' PS? My Japanese friend had all the Beatmanias/Guitar/Drum/Keyboard Mania games from Japan, every single one and we played em years before any of this Guitar Hero shit hit the western markets...could only ever play them in Arcades otherwise here.

Beatmania was kind of on the Djing thing although it was absolutely nothing like it, and never claimed to be like it. It was just good fun, crappy controllers that you mashed buttons on in time to different elements of the track, plastic turntable thing in time to scratching sounds. Couldn't really even be creative with it, but still it was kinda fun. And the music selection wasn't too bad, bit of Gabba here bit of DnB there. DJ Mania... lol... the difference is they're really trying to capitalise on the 'cool' factor of DJing, dumb asses will buy it because they think its somehow like the real thing. Mega F41L

Oh god, I knew it would only be a matter of time.

If it costs $300 like that guitar hero world tour why not just get one of those shitty 2 in 1 cd mixers instead?

Anyone else try the Resident Evil 5 and FEAR 2 demos?

I really liked them both. RE5 was a bit awkward at first (as all those games are), but felt good after a while. Mega smooth animation, felt great! Graphics were nice. Only beef is switching weapons and inventory system.

FEAR 2 is buy on sight for me. Demo was brilliant! I had a lot of issues with the first game, but I reckon this one is a killer.
