My housemate got a Breadmaker for his birthday.
First batch of bread was ready this morning, wholemeal loaf.
Extra function can put, nuts, fruit and herbs into thebread at selected times.

great idea but terribly executed. i ticked about 80% of the stuff listed (i keep a well stocked fridge / pantry ;) )

first suggestion was 'an apple on it's own' second was 'fried egg' :? :roll:

there's some dodgy food-court Turkish place in melb central that does AWESOME falafel.

I'm going to buy a blender and then try to make falafel at home.... Most recipes I've found look pretty crap, I reckon it's going ot be a trial an error deal.

had soem pretty average Turkish food last night (was mad keen for it after watching Food Safari)

dunno where Sam picked it up from, but they didn't have any felafel :( and the Hommus tasted like chalk

sydney rd turkish places are crapola.... apparently the new(ish) one on chapel street is meant to be good... the one at the wharf is a frikkin joke for the menu.... arghhh its very frustrating... honestly, ur better off going to Jims Tavern...
food safari was better for the scenery than the food

I made my first ever lasagne on the weekend - spinach & ricotta. It was super easy & tasted yum. Big ups me! This is going to be a cooking adventure year for me!

Sunday Dinner was delish and fat and juicy Steaks with home made french fries, followed by crepes for desert, with lemon juice and dusted with icing sugar
