These are Selenite crystals (gypsum) and are the largest crystals ever
discovered. No photoshop, even though the guys posing in the photos look a bit... well... Roger David spring 05 collection.

Funny you should say that. The hydrogeologist who sent me the pix was involved in pumping the groundwater out of the mine... he was like "check it... we've found superman's lair".

Check out the link that Will posted. I had no idea that this place existed until yesterday, but they have been draining it for a while and geologists have been studying it since 2000.
