ohhh the poor little guy. i hope he pulls through Hugbert.

hey are cactus expensive? cos i am thinking about plants to plant in the backyard at the moment that require little maintenance. i have a tendency to kill plants and then feel horrible, figure these little guys will do fine on their own aye.

I love my plants and am V sad when they die..

Lizzo, Cacti are very slow growing and therefore not very rewarding I find. The larger ones that will look good in a garden are not cheap.
Those Bird of paradise plants (Strelitzia reginae) are gorgeous and near impossible to kill.

i had a bbq at my place once and the next morning found my bonsai pot overturned with the poor bonsai lying a couple metres away..and also a succulent with everything torn off, just a pathetic looking trunk.

after a couple months they made a full recovery though..stay strong AO!

poor dennis.

all the best for a speedy recovery....

we got two bonsai as wedding gifts a couple of months ago...

one is a small leaf fig - it's actually two of them but they've grown so close to each other they've kind of intertwined. they look a little like this...
Image

we also got a japanese maple forest. looks like this but ours is heaps cooler. it has 10 trees in a massive square pot.

bonsais are so cool...

That japanese maple forest ROCKS!!!!! I want one!!!!!!!

Japanese Maple is my favourite tree. I think it comes from playing too much "the last ninja" on Commodore 64 when I was younger. Either way I love when they turn in Autumn. Could sit and stare at em all day.

Also if you can bring yourself to do this, I would recommend getting your plants from Chris & Maries plant farm for value for moneys sake.
I made my my BF take me there & he was so embarassed & hid the whole time. I went up and said hello to them & he nearly died. What a loser I am

i never trust the use by on the milk at work - you have to do the sniff test.
people leave it out on the bench for hours in the warmth so the useby really isn't indicative... :? :(
