Masterchef 2010
Re: Masterchef 2010
Red team won - they where pretty good, the art director lead the Red's well.
Blue team struggled, I think Aaron did well as the leader, although george canned him for being frantic. I thought he was being decisive and taking lead from the way George ran Press club.

Agree - it seemed a bit of a beat up, he was just clear and to the pointFeigan wrote:Blue team struggled, I think Aaron did well as the leader, although george canned him for being frantic. I thought he was being decisive and taking lead from the way George ran Press club.

suffice to say that what you see on screen is worse in real life. e.g. george is even more of an annoying cock (unbelievable innit) and matt preston may actually eat everything with a side of rosti (he accidentally the whole).gnat wrote:elaborate..

Why in God's fair name would I wring out a disposable paper towel to use again?
Can anyway answer me that?

No - she put her hand up straight away for elimination, becuase she was first on the de-boning and the tampura batter... then marion put herself in because she screwed up the filleting. Jake had to deal with recovering from all that, so it wasn't really fair - he was gutted to be put up for elimination. I think matthew or callum should have been put up, as presumably they didn't cook them for long enough...Charlie73 wrote:did pouty try and say 'i had nothing to do with it!' again!

taste challenge is so hard. that last one- sif anyone would now there was pernod in there and not wine. would never pick that in a million years. unfair tbh- not exactly a measure of being a killer chef. wonder if george could pick every single ingredient?
i felt sorry for jake too- wasn't right that he got put up. i wanted to give him a cuddle!
and sys- ahhh. not not surprising. the pres can still come to mine for dinner any night. he'd be a tonne of fun imo and would have teh mad stories

Re: Masterchef 2010
my gf was saying what about lemon grass, garlic and ginger - surely these first??
same he was out - still he should have not just let himself be handed in. i don't think aaron did a bad job, but the boys on the zuchinni flowers should have taken a hit

I always thought there was a garlic lemongrass base to curries like that? perhaps the ginger no, or would they use galangal??
Hey I'm not so sure, but reckon there must have been lemongrass though?

There would Definately been Lemongrass, palm sugar not in all Thai
And you can use ginger or galangal... but they are not in all either.....
I missed it, but was sad when i heard who left - he had more to give!
I would have MUCH prefered pouty to go, i cannot stand her!

TBH although she doesn't do great, shes not that bad a cook.
hard to be sad for peter as he is so happy! but he deserved to lose, not enough attention to detail about the cooking process. whereas joanne cooked well but screwed up on one aspect. they have usually preferred the mistake (bone/grit etc) to the inattentive cooking

Re: Masterchef 2010
she hasn't shone at all IMHO.
leaders are Jono, Marian & Clare.
adam - has potential
Aaron and pouty should be worried.
Callum is a bit young still, his mandarins where pretty good last night though

Not sure about hot, definitely attractive though
Re: Masterchef 2010
Would put Fiona (evicted) ahead of Clare in the looks dept.
I think it's a two horse race at the end of the day - Clare is good but think that Jono & Marian have her covered.
Who evere the celeb chef last night was gave Marian BIG wraps that she would succeed.
I think he would have cried if he lost.
Heston chef bloke was a bit funny and the ipod in the sea shell was a bit too much for me.

Heston is a madman. Probably the most technical chef in the world innit. I loved his show when it was on TV - Heston's feast.Feigan wrote:Would put Fiona (evicted) ahead of Clare in the looks dept.
