Drool.

The chicken palami lasagne shepherds pie can only be a quarterly experience.

Arteries require a minimum of three months to recover.

Fents wrote:my palami (parama with added salami goodness) :

chicken breast, butterflied and flattened
wizz up a 50/50 mix of cornflakes and nacho cc's really fine
coat chicken with egg and roll in cornflake and cc's mix
shallow fry until golden
remove from pan and spread napoli sauce on as thick or as thin as you like (any napoli sauce, just jar stuff)
one layer of ham, one layer of salami
Top with cheese
grill under over till cheese is golden brown and is bubbling a tiny bit.
fukn brilliant... worked a treat, need to fire up a good napoli next time and it will be perfect... jar stuff was just ok, but the chicken turned out so good, cheers heaps Fents. All I had to do was close my eyes while eating and i was back in melb. First parma o/s and a damn good one at that.

^ D'you mean good-good or cheap-good? If cheap, back in the day I had much love for Thy Thy, but it's been a looooong time :(. Also, there's one away from the pack up near Victoria Gardens that a mate used to prefer.

Hurr hurr...

The good-cheap places definitely have good food. I s'pose I meant 'good-good' as less of the communal table/wipe-down menus vibe. Nfi about any fancy shit like that, though.

My mate had his 30th birthday dinner at White Lotus on Saturday.

Its been over a year since I hit that joint.

The only time I've been to White Lotus was with a vego mate, who really didn't like the taste/texture of meat. Spent the whole time looking for things on the menu that didn't have fake meat in them

worst option is the White Lotus special, 3 types of mushroom in a really over powering sauce.
My friend ordered it to take the piss out of non-meat eaters.

The Court House in North Melbourne gets a good rep
Hellenic Republic is also pretty damn popular
Grossi - the grill is always radness

i would go Taxi in a heartbeat though, had the best wagu steak there, still drooling over it

Have done the Court House with same group and yes...amazing.
Hellenic a bit casual, thinking more fine dining style...still love it though.
Grossi perhaps, but a vego in the ranks, so probs after something less meaty.

Think I'll push for Taxi...it does look out of control good.

Nobu.

South American inspired Japanese ftmfw!

Go the yellow tail sashimi. Its yellow tail, in a light soy, with sliced jalapenos.

easily the best thing to eat in melbourne, hands down.
