Feijoa Alert

Post by Polecat »

I hope i spelt it right, but for the Kiwi's of Carlton, Fitzroy and Brunswick I thought I'd let you know I saw from fresh feijoa's in the fruit shop at 327 Lygon St this afternoon.

Yes, fresh ones, not ones magically squished into bottles of 42 Below. Real live green fresh ones. eat them if you dare! :P

The fruit shop in Carlton, near the exquisite Brown's Patisserie (drooool).

They will most likely be aussie ones since we're not too keen on importing your kiwi produce (you have diseases we dont like nasty fireblight of apples and pears etc).

We need a revolution.

nah! it's aussie farmers making sure that the government protects their livelihood. I'm waiting to see if we will allow the importation of bananas from the Philippines now that the FTA is happening. If they do and all the diseases they have there turn up, it means I might get a job again, but it also means the the families that grow bananas in Oz will be farked over.

they got the nasty nasty nasty banana diseases there.

Yes but a trip to dictionary.com probably would've been easier than posting that question, Heidi.
