Taking over the Prince bandroom across two rooms, the two crews are proud to present an absolutely stellar lineup for techno, house, minimal and-tech house fans alike, featuring a LIVE visual show by VJ Netzair running from midnight - 6am on multiple screens throughout the venue. Expect top-notch production and an aural / visual feast for the senses, with music and vibe that will be talked about long afterwards. You just know when these two crews finally get together this shit is going to be special...

JORIS VOORN
After destroying Digital Festival and Honktytonks to record crowds in April 2006, the long-awaited return of Joris Voorn has seen hype building to fever-pitch across the Melbourne underground for some time. Hailing from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Joris is without doubt one of the hottest techno acts in the world right now, playing the biggest clubs and Festivals the world over and having his records revered and regularly spun by the likes of Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, Kevin Saunderson, Rob Hood, Laurent Garnier, Sven Vath, Steve Bug, Slam, Alex Smoke, Funk D'Void, Technasia, DJ Bone and Deetron amongst a host of others. With hot-as-mustard previous releases on Keynote, Rejected, Technasia's Sino imprint, Sound Architecture, Music Man and now Green, his productions have captured the imagination of DJs, dancefloors and the public at large. His 'Joris Voorn presents Fuse' mix CD released for the famous Belgium club is one of the tightest and most original mix compilations of our time, and his now infamous Resident Advisor podcast was voted the Best Podcast Of 2007 - with RA calling it "A silky smooth ride through deep house, techno and warm ambience".

In 2007 Joris released a highly-acclaimed new album called ‘From A Deep Place’, featuring many different styles of electronic music ranging from atmospheric interludes to broken beats,
house and deep soulful techno. The focus point of the ‘From A Deep Place’ CD was the listener rather than the dancer and it was received enthusiastically by the electronic music community at large. Some of the works were edited to more DJ friendly tracks for the vinyl release of the album. During the summer of 2007 Joris has been touring with his new live performance in support of his album release but his DJ skills are already the stuff of legend.

2008 will be an exciting year, Joris has been focusing on remixes for the artists Slam, Robert Babicz, Nic Fanciulli and Jerome Sydenham, which will all be released before the summer. As a DJ and live performer Joris Voorn has now joined an elite group of international artists whose musical talent has acquired global appeal. He has performed across Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Colombia, Israel, Detroit, Chicago and New York, and now returns to Australia on the back of perhaps the best Detroit-influenced album of 2007 to ignite dancefloors here all over again.

ARIL BRIKHA
Soma Corp presents the highly-anticipated return of the Swedish master of techno and deep house - Aril Brikha, bringing his widely acclaimed LIVE set back to our shores for the first time in 3 years. Previously playing Honkytonks in Melbourne to sell-out crowds of over 700 people in 2004 and over 500 in 2005, he brought the infamous club to its knees on both occasions and cemented his reputation in Melbourne as a contemporary icon and the creme-de-la-creme of discerning, emotional, intelligent and deeply dancefloor-orientated electronic music. Techno and house fans alike rubbed shoulders in heaving, ecstatic dancefloors of sweaty, grinding bodies - with infectious rhythms, groove-ridden drums and lush, epic pads and strings; Brikha's live sets are the stuff of legend... truly music for the mind, the body, and the soul.

With the hugely successful album 'Deeparture In Time' on Derrick May's Transmat label and one of the biggest techno / deep house anthems of all time 'Groove La Chord' solidifying his reputation as one of the best in the business many years ago now, Brikha has reemerged from a production hiatus in recent years with a few select releases on some of Europe's most forward-thinking and popular electronic labels, showcasing the width and breadth of his production style; with 'Prey For Peace' on Belgium's historic Music Man label Aril's sound progressed with a more in-your-face, harder production but still maintaining that classic Detroit sound. On Germany's trendsetting minimal label Kompakt, Brikha released the record-selling techno/trance fusion the 'Winter' EP that took yet another turn with two tracks that with regular airplay from Pete Tong and others made them massive peak-time performers, soon dropped repeatedly by the best in the business at the biggest clubs and Festivals worldwide and included on compilations by Kompakt, Fabric and Global Underground amongst others. And finally on the highly-desirable German imprint PokerFlat, Brikha was again destined to find a new and wider audience with the upfront, plastic percussion and gnarly synths - "Maximal sounds and Minimal production" - of his 'Akire' release.

Fast forward to late 2007 and the long-awaited releases on Peacefrog bring both Brikha and Peacefrog back to where they begun with two 12” and then a full length album 'Ex Machina', showcasing Aril’s classic sound of Detroit techno / house with elements of his recent productions. With haunting strings, filtered chords and synth pads adorning the hypnotic beats, 'Ex Machina' transcends dance music's ever multiplying genres and brings back the old feeling of just making us want to dance.
