yeah tis gonna be a big 1
LYNX
Soul:R (Marcus Intalex) Creative Source (Fabio), Bingo Beats (Zinc), Digital Soundboy (Shy FX)…just some of the labels which will be releasing a Steve Nobes (aka Lynx) track this summer.
An exciting artist, but an electrifying new trend in drum and bass sound. D&B has been waiting a long time for a producer who could combine musical diversity with crowd pleasing success, and Lynx has been worth the wait!
Lynx’s dedication to music was strong from a young age, and he started work experience at Chichester based studio ‘Airtight’. Airtight was a nursery for producers including Friction & Mampi Swift and Stakka who were all found busy writing the next D&B anthem
In the summer of 2006 Mariachi (Lynx & Malibu Rhodes) started a snowball effect in the scene. From Marcus Intalex playing the track on his Solutions Radio show, to Radio 1’s Fabio opening his show “Best of 2006†with it. 2007 will see Lynx integrated into the Soul R camp as an official Soul: R artist alongside legends such as Calibre, Marcus Intalex and ST Files. Lynx drops into Melbourne on his debut tour for OZ, Prepare for the future funk!
PEREZ
Originally from Belgium, Drum and Bass comes naturally to 21-year-old Alix, who has been immersed in music from an early age. Alix started to DJ at the age of 14 and progressed into production at 17, collaborating with other hotly tipped artists such as Jenna G, Redeyes, Sabre, MC Fats, Spectrasoul to name a few.
2007 is looking to be a very big year for North London based DJ/producer Alix Perez. As one of the freshest young producers in the Drum and Bass scene and undoubtedly one of it's most prolific up and coming DJ's. He already has a plethora of releases on established labels such as Shogun Audio, Liquid V, Bassbin, Creative Source, Horizons, Progress, Brigand and Fokuz. With tunes such as ‘Magnolias’, ‘Crown City’, ‘Solitary Native’and ‘Crooklyn, under his belt there aren’t many dj’s on the circuit without a Perez tune in their bag.
Alix also has numerous tracks play listed on BBC 1Xtra and heavy support from respected players within the scene, from Bukem to Bailey, Friction, Fabio and so on…he has been repped as "the one putting the soul back into Drum N Bass" Get ready for the deep rollin funky basslines as Perez hits our shores mid June.
