This guy for real?

First trying to open swanston st to traffic again, and more recently trying to ban hailing cabs in the CBD.

???

How did this guy make it to mayor :tard:

yeah, i'm with you, aj. dude's an absolute twat. he's possibly even worse as mayor than as opposition leader, and he was fucking woeful then. i think 17/88 seats pretty much says it all.

wtf voted for him?

doesn't take a genius to run for mayor...... just a bunch of dumb cunts to vote them in.

this cab thing is FUCKING SHIT... I live in the cbd and regularly hail cabs outside my place to get to gigs, fitzroy, prahran etc etc... fuck having to walk all the way to some SUPER-MEGA-FUCKHEAD MAGNET, which is what these super-ranks will become, sucks the big one. I guess I have to call cabs from now on, but that actually takes longer and costs more.

Agreed. I liked the old guy, didn't do a lot, but at least that stopped him from making mistakes.

My thoughts exactly;

Drunk people lining up to get home, its only going to cause dramas.

And how does it make sense to have intoxicated people walking through the city to one of only four super ranks. Surely it would be more dangerous, with people stumbling across roads to get there.

Common sense fail

With all the talent we have in this fair city, i can't begin to comprehend his thought process when he decided to spend $240,000 at an overseas design house.

The Lord Mayor's preferred option says the street will operate ''in a similar manner to Swanston Street at present''.

It says ''the existing tram tracks are lowered and the pavement is extended to the platform edge.

''The pavement between the existing kerb and the platform edge is constructed in different paving materials to denote its 'road' status''.
Because most people seem to have a problem identifying road from pavement :tard:

What a waste of money.

Never go full retard lol

^^ that design was decided PURELY by public consultation, Cr Doyle has very little say over the final draft.

Positioned on the north bank of the Thames River, covering an area of 677 acres or one square mile (known as the "wealthiest square mile on earth"), it has enjoyed special rights and privileges that enabled them to achieve a certain level of independence since 1191. In 1215, its citizens received a Charter from King John, granting them the right to annually elect a mayor (known as the Lord Mayor), a tradition that continues today.
