that's more of a microsoft one as far as interview stereotypes go. being grilled by thompson, gosling or pike is the scariest proposition, after surviving the 10 previous interviews.

That sucks, sorry to hear folks.

It's so easy for us to become complacent in things in which we are competant and well versed, but you can't risk this sort of stuff.

sorry to hear dan.

def with you on the life jacket. i went fishing in my boat not long ago and on the way out it was calm as fuck about 5 knot wind...three hours later we were in sorrento and it was blowing a gale! at least 20-25 knots and waves to 2m's. we had to drive back from sorrento to blairgowrie which not only took ages but was the most scared ive ever been on a boat waves were just relentless.

we have life jackets on the boat but they are stowed under the cabin. if we went over it was swim back under the boat for a life jacket.

went out the next week and brought myself a stormy life jacket, its an actual jacket you wear like anyother jacket but if you go over you pull a cord and it inflates.

just the thought of asher being three months old and not having a dad scared the shit outta me, expensive jacket but worth every cent.

The insufferable twit I work with is at his best/worst tonight

He's clearly eaten something awesome and is on a hot streak. Now I know this happens to the best of us and sometimes things get a bit gaseous for a while, but this is fucking next level. The entire shop, including the office and coolroom, smells like fresh steaming turd

How somebody can fart with such devastating consistency and manage to make the odour linger for so long is beyond me

I feel ya girl...

My GOTD was buying a new long-board from a guy at work - and taking it for a test run to the shop to get a can of red bull, stacking myself whilst drinkin the can on way back to work and quickly realising i had fractured my arm.

WARNING: Despite popular belief and advertising claims _ RED BULL DOES NOT GIVE YOU WINGS.

BIG UP of the day...I got a sweeet new long-board.

Hmmm, just sent a time-bomb of an email. It's about an issue that has been clear as fucken day for months, but academics like to delay, delay, delay. Funnily enough, when you apply that logic to plane tickets, it costs you a massive bag of cash :tard:

Seriously, if you aren't going to do something properly, at least fucken delegate. Don't sit there 'being in charge,' not do anything AND not let anyone else do anything!!! FUUUUUUUU

Yes, I have ended up involved in another conference. Unfortunately, I am not completely in charge of this one, so I have to put up with someone else's lame-arse 'leadership.' Lazy control freak FTL

need to make decisions.
currently plagued by the following:
need to find a house asap
need to figure out if i'm staying in the country
jobs apps to do for kolkata and melb
is kolkata even a wise career move?
full time or part time study next semester?
full time or part time work next semester?
should i commit to a lease without a stable income?
what the hell am i doing with my life?
etc. etc.

Ah, that old chestnut.

I suggest starting with small, isolated issues and working from there. How long you want to drag your degree out for will determine full/part-time study, will determine full/part-time work, will determine lease, etc.

You can't possibly decide everything at once, so try to just make the little binary decisions, then watch the dominoes :)

GOTD..
Only two people who are hindering my performance and ability to get the workload out are the owners wife and son. Wife says every day, (and i quote in russian accent) "i dunnew vat ima dewing" then proceeds to argue with me when i tell her what she is meant to do... :banghead:
Then the son comes in, stops my production, undermines my decisions and causes me two day delays until he comes back and says "oh i didn't realise you had started the job..oh well just keep going how it was" F(*&KHEAD!!! Seriously stop treating your old mans business as a fkn playground and messing with my rig! Ive been here doing this job long enough..plus what the hell IS your job here? Research and Development Manager? WTF does that mean? more like Retardation and Disability Manager... :knob:
Three years and no fkn payrise..seriously over this garbage. :banghead: :banghead:
